I think I know what the problem is. I would guess that You do think of GOD as a created being traveling through time as we know it.

I do not, because HE IS THE CREATOR OF TIME AS WE KNOW IT. HE IS ETERNAL, and that means HE IS OUTSIDE OF TIME as we know it.

He declares the End from the Beginning, because He is OMNIPRESENT in both SPACE and TIME.

I knows every decision you will make in time, Because He is Omnipresent in Space as well as TIME.

His Foreknowledge is PERFECT, because HE IS Omnipresent in ALL OF TIME.

GOD IS WAY BIGGER THAN YOU HAVE EVER THOUGHT.

I am following the directions given me and staying in the Spirit the best I know how. There is always that crucifying of the flesh and lusts thereof. I must stay on top of it all the time, albeit it gets away from me to sometimes. But I understand the slap in the face. Hence this other cheek. Just a little rebuking, as is my duty as a Christian. This is after all a Christian Chat Forum, we don't want someone stopping by and thinking we are heathens, do we? We are to be representing our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus after all. Bringing as many to the faith as possible, so that Gods Will may be fulfilled in not losing a single one.

Paul is holding peril over them by listening to the false teachers .. the peril being that if the resurrection did not happen then they believed in vain.

You are saved today if you hold fast the word which I preached to you (15:2). Paul has stated that they heard and received and are standing and are saved. But now he adds a conditional clause.

When he says they are saved, he is assuming that something is true.....Paul is assuming (if) that they are holding fast to the message that he preached to them.

Some versions have "since" not if

They will never grasp this truth as long as they keep stomping on and ignoring context!

I struggled with this verse for years. Because I could never explain it to workers for in a way which made sense. saying a person can be saved with zero works just does not jive with scripture. There will be some works, even in a babe.

I did not even come close to making that statement that we can live as we like... however your lens is definitely on yourself and your ability to stay saved.

I would love to share with you all my newborn grandson Tommy , he was born this morning...
My mum died when I was 3 , I had no grandparents and my dad deserted me and my 3 sisters...

Before I was born again , I used to cry to my mum , asking her to look after me , blaming God for taking her the way she did , and leaving behind 4 little ones who all off our lives where wretched...

But now , O my goodness , God has restored to me more then what the locusts ate , He brought me beauty from the ashes...

He has blessed me with 15 grandchildren , and another on the way , my prayer is that God may use me to bring my grandchildren to Him , that they know His name , and His Son Jesus...
