O, it can. Names can be blotted out of the Book of Life by Him whom I love. Who saved me out of my sins, who baptized me with His Spirit. He moves within me so that I seek Him and how He rewards those who seek Him! I love Him. He is my Master. I eat His flesh and drink His blood and yearn for the Word that comes from His mouth more than my daily bread. And I minister in His name and have seen His love in operation and the victory He won through His death and resurrection. In Him we live and move and have our being as we diligently listen to His voice. What sweet fellowship He brings us in to.

And then to listen to you barking out your fleshly condemnation just cracks me up. I wish I had more time for you.
No surprise they left this one alone....

I have no issue with anything you said starting from the word 'names" and ending with "fellowship He brings us to". As long as you understand eat His flesh and drink His blood in the sense of trusting in His death to save, not some continual offering of Christ where we continually eat His literally body and drink His literal blood.

1 John 2:22
Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.

This may have regard not only to the Jews, that deny Jesus to be the Messiah, but chiefly to such who went by the name of Christians; who denied either his proper deity, or real humanity, as Ebion and Cerinthus, which was denying him to be the God-man, the Mediator, and Messiah; and is true of all such that deny him in any of his offices, or in things relating to them, as his Gospel, and any of the peculiar doctrines of it, delivered by him, and so deny his prophetic office; or any of his ordinances, institutions, and appointments, as lawgiver in his house, and King of saints, and so deny him in his kingly office; or reject him as the alone Saviour, joining their own works with him, in the business of salvation, and oppose his sacrifice and satisfaction, and despise his imputed righteousness, and so deny him in his priestly office.
Source

Not just some of the Corinthians who denied the resurrection back when the letter to the Corinthians was written were antichrist, but some here that deny Christ alone has the ability to save those who trust in Him without doing works are antichrist.

That is, if their belief that the dead do not rise was true, (which it wasn't), then they believed in vain, because if the dead do not rise, Christ is not risen, and if if Christ is not risen, they and we are yet dead in our sins. Any belief that leaves us yet dead in our sins is a belief in vain.

Note...I am not saying we are sinless. I am saying we are no longer dead in our sins. If we be risen with Christ, we are alive to Christ and dead to sin.
Paul is holding peril over them by listening to the false teachers .. the peril being that if the resurrection did not happen then they believed in vain.

You are saved today if you hold fast the word which I preached to you (15:2). Paul has stated that they heard and received and are standing and are saved. But now he adds a conditional clause.

When he says they are saved, he is assuming that something is true.....Paul is assuming (if) that they are holding fast to the message that he preached to them.

Some versions have "since" not if

I agree. Good explanation of the text.

You can twist all you want pal....we have all seen your unbiblical position......SO...which past banned member are you....some of what you are saying seems to be very familiar.....we already KNOW at least one previous banned member is back...

So....have you ever been on this site under a different name? YES or NO
What does scripture say about false accusations?

1 John 4:6
We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

If anyone shares Gods word and Gods word is rejected they have the spirit of falsehood.
Those with such a spirit have no fear of God, because Gods word does not dwell in their hearts.
But if you remain in Gods word, He will remain in you.

John 15:4
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

John 8:44-46
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!
Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me?

So if you make an accusation you need to actually say what it is, else you are just whistling.

Ecclesiastes 9:17
The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.

Proverbs 3:5-7
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.

Isaiah 40:3
A voice of one calling: "In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God."

Its a bit hard if one claims to know Jesus, the Messiah but denies one can walk the straight path of Jesus.
Put simply one cannot follow Jesus on the straight path if one only walks the crooked path.

It also seems those who call to walk the crooked path cannot be speaking from the Lord of the straight path.

2 Peter 2:15
They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness.

So dear friends, if your hear His voice, humble yourselves and follow Jesus on the straight path of life.

We are partakes of His nature...that is scriptural...not charismatic... and I really do not understand the rest of this post
Suggests it is best just to bless and move on, taking the good, and leaving the rest. God bless you.

Blah, BLAH, BLAH......mind your own business if you cannot be impartial in your judgement and call him out for all the false accusations, skewed words and false gospel he peddles....
Maybe this will help clear up misunderstanding the Scripture I quoted before.

Galatians 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Galatians 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Galatians 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

2189 echthra enmity, hostility, alienation
properly, enemy (hatred, hostility)

2054 eris
strife, contention, wrangling
literally quarrel, strife; properly a readiness to quarrel
(having a contentious spirit), affection for dispute

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONGSUFFERING, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, FAITH,
Galatians 5:23 MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Galatians 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

I am following the directions given me and staying in the Spirit the best I know how. There is always that crucifying of the flesh and lusts thereof. I must stay on top of it all the time, albeit it gets away from me to sometimes. But I understand the slap in the face. Hence this other cheek. Just a little rebuking, as is my duty as a Christian. This is after all a Christian Chat Forum, we don't want someone stopping by and thinking we are heathens, do we? We are to be representing our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus after all. Bringing as many to the faith as possible, so that Gods Will may be fulfilled in not losing a single one.

Please if you tell me the posts of the offending party, I promise I will peruse them, and I do mean that.

It is a bad habit to bait people and be demeaning. The reason is it destroys the soul and harms ones testimony.
Winding people up is just that, the facts remain the same.

Listed verses of scripture do not go away, they all need resolving to our spirits so we can walk in peace.
Truths expressed in them define the reality of God which we need to conform to, because eternity matters
much more than the to and fro here, over the short time we have.

We do literally answer to God alone, very, very alone.

So how we walk on the path matters, eternally matters, and how we lift up one another before our Lord.

Romans 12:10-12
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

This truly warms my heart. Thank you brothers and sisters in Christ.

This particular thread has become a Ghetto of sorts. It has probably long lost its saltiness. It is beyond any edification at this stage as nobody will be scrolling through reams and reams of slugging OSAS vs NOSAS. Timeless truths are lost on page 192732726. The whole matter can be summed up in one verse:
James 2v14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
This thread has a resident foul mouthed contributor who is no example to the Christian faith. I say, let them have him. The whole matter, and then some, has already been discussed. A far better ROI can be achieved in terms of reaching and teaching on other threads. So from my side, I will extricate myself from what is rapidly becoming a silly exchange.

Asking a believer about the straight path?

This is like asking about bread and butter, unless they are heretical and have no actual answer.
Vanity - it is possible some feel their position is so sound nothing can ever reach them.

Proverbs 8:13-15
To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.
Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have understanding and power.
By me kings reign and rulers make laws that are just;

Psalm 56:2-4,13
My slanderers pursue me all day long; many are attacking me in their pride.
When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
.......
For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.

Proverbs 16:18-20
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.
Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.

Do you really think works can save?

James was saved and knew the Gospel ... we are saved by grace through faith apart from works.

James is not speaking to spiritual salvation/saving faith in his letters.
He is speaking about the faith which is internal made external so that it is visible to men.
A faith that is put to use to the salvation of the soul.
Again another simple concept.

This thread persists for a reason because it is at the heart of the Gospel... and yes people come and go, but not one has been able to provide a cogent, coherent, rational scripturally based refutation of eternal security and salvation being wholly by His grace.... an irrecoverable gift.

Not one person yet.

OK. We will take you at your word. However if you post here again, you have WILLINGLY broke your word and sinned by lying, thereby losing your salvation.

Other than that, have a great day!

Eternal life also has refers to the quality of being.

you will “partake in the Divine Life that God possesses“: 2 Peter 1: 4.

Partaking of this "quality of life" starts here on earth where saved is saved.

I pray you come to understand this.
Persecution on earth for Christians.

The gospel I share is the gospel of Acts 2. So if you judge this you are judging the apostles, so get your facts straight.

Acts chapter 2 has almost NOTHING TO DO WITH THE GOSPEL. It is the events that surround the Birthday of the Church.

Try next time to share some conviction of sin and repentance verses
Follow by several verses that point out the JESUS PAID IT ALL.
And close with Romans 10:8-10, next time you want to share the REAL GOSPEL.

Romans 10:8-10 (NASB)
8 But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9 that if you confess [has to have happened in your heart, your human spirit first, to be a CONFESSION] with your mouth Jesus as Lord, [which means Master whom you willing yield control of your life out of LOVE for HIM] and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

1 Corinthians 12:3 (NASB)
3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed";
and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," [as a CONFESSION] except by the Holy Spirit.
