Chris1975 do you believe in the literal millennium or pre-trib rapture? (partial) i saw you posted wilkerson or maybe it was RALPH

Who does GOD chasten and why?

The evidence is HIS SPIRIT bearing WITNESS with OUR SPIRIT.....obviously to deep for you to grasp because you are blending faith and works which saves NO ONE
Ephesians 4:30
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

1 John 2:3
We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands.

"you are blending faith and works which saves no one" - How do you get here? Shaking the box a little too much maybe

The only thing you got right was the LAST line........and like I said...by what you post YOU do not UNDERSTAND John's ministry and or the fact it was PRE-NEW COVENANT LAST PROPHET representing the LAW and the PROPHETS.......

HIS water IMMERSION washed NO SIN away and had NO bearing on SALVATION!

Johns ministry - "a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins." Luke 3:3
Jesus's ministry - "Son, your sins are forgiven" Mark 2:5

John 14:15-17
"If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Rom 8:9
And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

1 Cor 2:14
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

If we have the Holy Spirit then these things are plain to us.

My simple observation is the comment "The only thing you got right was the LAST line"

Scripture and its meaning obviously is wrong if you do not agree with it.
Thankyou for that education lesson in your method of interpretation and understanding.

I puts you outside the realms of biblical scholarship and faith. It is your choice.
But it does not affect me, because my foundation is in Christ and His word, Amen.

There are two raptures ahead.

- One for the Gentile Church (pre tribulation) Revelation 12v5; 1 Thessalonians 4v15-17

Then Israels eyes open to the Messiah (Time of the Fullness of the Gentiles is Over, and the Time for the Saving of Israel opens once again. Israel is the Woman who flees into the desert in Revelation 12v6 (the next verse).

- One for Israel (post tribulation) - Matthew 24v31

Have a look at the verses I posted here carefully. You will see it....

I answer you this only because you asked me, but it is not my intention to get into a whole rapture debate. I'm sure there are other threads for this, and I don't feel it necessary to go down that road at this time.

Dude you are shaking nothing....get that through your head....FAITH alone is what saves a man.....nothing more, nothing less....!!

God as my witness, I don't have an ounce of anger regarding God's grace.
Justification is by faith in Jesus' blood for the forgiveness of sin, not by performing meritorious works.
There's nothing in that to be angry about.
In fact, the Bible calls it the good news.

So, what's your take on people who stop believing?
Were they ever saved to begin with?
Do they lose their salvation?
Of do they continue to be saved as if they still believed?
Jesus says quite clearly that our Heavenly Father will not lose even one that belongs to Him. The shepherd will leave the 99 sheep to go find the one that is lost. Since God sacrificed His Son in such a brutal manner as He did, does it not stand to reason that He will not lose anyone who once proclaimed faith in Him?

That's good for you "pooky!"
Enjoy "your flight", while you still can!

....for the record? I don't hate Jesus' work in you at all!
I do however, hate the "willingness" you continue to display in your false belief that God's grace shall abound the more...as you keep "pushing the envelope" against it!
Take it up with Paul . . . and Jesus.

You do a good job Once.....and thank you for the lateral freedom to defend the truth with a little heat and sarcasm migo.....We mostly try to keep it calm and as I have said many times...I can deal with anything except having what I say skewed and twisted or when one misrepresents the truth about me or flat lies.......

My problem is the Marine in me wants to come out and play.....I try, I really do.......

Thanks Brother and sorry for all the flak we cause you migo
Semper Fi, Christian brother. 😎🙏🇺🇸

So it sounds like you believe that the person who stops believing is still saved, right? If so, what does 1 John 2:19 mean to you?

Oh, and I do definitely believe that Christ will lose none that the Father gives him. But that doesn't mean some won't continue to believe to the end. It means the failure won't be on his part. It will be on the part of the one who stopped believing, and who, therefore, no longer had access to the ministry of Christ that can't fail (like the ministry of the Levites failed).

You’re thinking like man thinks; I get it and respect it. However, God’s ways are not our ways. His GIFT of grace is irrevocable.

People who are healthy do not need a doctor but rather those who are sick need a doctor. Does it make sense that God, the Great Physician, would turn His back on those who are most vulnerable and ill?

I agree that God's ways are not our ways. And Matthew 18:23-35 shows us that in the kingdom, the Father's way is to take back the free gift of forgiveness from those who do not pass it on to others. So we know that Paul was not writing a doctrine in Romans 11:29 that says you can't lose salvation, because it's a gift, and God doesn't take back gifts.

In context, Paul is explaining how God has not changed his mind about the gifts and calling for Israel even though they do not believe in Christ and die and go to hell. We know from prophecy that they will one day believe in Christ and walk in their gifts and calling. But until then......they die and go to hell.

God will forsake those who forsake him.
We can't just decide to take the pleasant side of the promise (he will never leave us or forsake us) and cast away the second part of the promise (he will forsake us if we forsake him).

I believe your heart is kind and loving, and you are to be respected for defending God’s honor. I understand your views; they make perfect sense on the human level. May we remain prayerful for everyone who is weak in faith, that God will sustain them.

this is true, if you stop talking and do not attach works to the meaning of believe.
