Eph_2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:I don't agree, it's simple! It's just been highjacked by the mistranslation. The mistranslation changed the object of Faith from God Himself a real living person, to Gods word and His promises.
What can be more profound than a continually surrendered life, without expecting anything in return.
Eph_2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Faith is belief - FAITH (belief) is a GIFT from God.
Expectations are often met with disappointing results. I don’t expect to be saved; I am saved, because God’s Word is irrefutable regarding salvation for those who believe in Jesus. Grace through faith. If a surrendered life is done with expectations of something in return, that's not a surrender, but a business deal or some kind of vending machine kind of process.
John 3:16 and Romans 10:9-10 have a lot to say about your works salvation.Oh you mean the mistranslation, "believe and recieve"?
That's a good example of a business deal or vending machine process. Believe and then expect all of Gods promises, and don't have any doubt that you'll receive them.
That Gospel?
Don’t even try to be a working class hero; you expect something in return. What can be more profound than a continually surrendered life, without expecting anything in return.
The ability to faithe could be seen as a gift, just like the air we breath. But we choose who and what we are going to faithe into.
does this mean i can quit my job?
are you doing this? continually surrendering your life? i bet if you look at your browse history you will see something worldly in there, something Jesus would not be interested in if He was on the earth at this time. no? if no then great. keep going. What can be more profound than a continually surrendered life, without expecting anything in return.
Amen! John 1:12 is attached with "a personal surrender to Him" in Vine's definition. John 1:12 - But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. There is the personal surrender to Him. When we choose to believe in/place faith in Jesus Christ for salvation (Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8) we are entrusting our spiritual well being to Christ, along with placing confidence, trust and reliance in Him for salvation. That would be a personal surrender to Him, resulting in justification (Romans 5:1) and that is the ROOT of salvation.John 3:16 and Romans 10:9-10 have a lot to say about your works salvation.
Amen! That is why I say with 100% confidence that I am saved. I am not confident in who I am, a sinner, or my filthy rag works, but rather I am confident in who Jesus Christ is, and I am confident that His word is absolutely indisputable regarding God’s grace being afforded to everyone who puts their faith in Jesus.Amen! John 1:12 is attached with "a personal surrender to Him" in Vine's definition. The FRUIT of salvation would be living by or "out of" faith, as we see 2 Corinthians 5:7 attached with "a conduct inspired by such surrender" in Vine's definition, which reads - For we walk/live by faith and not by sight. This is our continued walk with the Lord by which by or "out of" faith believers bear fruit/produce works. So faith in Christ is the ROOT of salvation and "a conduct inspired by surrender" which FOLLOWS and produces good works would be the FRUIT. Pisteuo is mixing cause and effect and the end result is works salvation.
good. it keeps the topic alive. this place is boring withuot macabeus posting 20 times a day i have nothing to check. One leaves another one comes. (Rolls eyes)

Just trying to help you out so no offense intended but you are LOST, you haven't "faithed" yourself into ANYTHING. In fact, you are the OPPOSITE of faith because Jesus is trying to deliver you from your BONDAGE through his word and your rejecting it.
You may be fooling yourself but you're not fooling God and you darn sure aint fooling us with you're Pisteuo word twisting. Obviously you are OBSESSED with pisteuo and it comes through loud and clear to the rest of us.... we want to help you but you've got want help before you can be helped.

this sounds like something that finalcall character would say.
There's no such thing as believing in Christ for salvation. The word "believing" is a mistranslation.
