Tell me how does gain eternal life?
I prefer to get right down to the nitty gritty of the discussion.
I assume you mean how does "pisteuo" as defined in the Vines gain eternal life?
Is this your question?

Not according Vines according to the scripture where the word appears in various contexts?
If a person asked you how can I be born again what would you tell them?

I would say, surrender your life and will to Him, and live a life inspired by such surrender.
Where’s the grace?I would say, surrender your life and will to Him, and live a life inspired by such surrender.
And where does the work of Christ Jesus enter into this?
Grace is the "finished", "completed",work of Christ on Calvary. Nothing can be added to it or replace it!
Faith, or the corresponding verb pisteuo, is a response to the call of the Father.
So you have the call of the Father to Christ. You have the first response to the call by what is called repentance. Repentance is simply a turning in our minds from our way, to the way of the caller. Then the second response, our first act of Faith or what the Greek calls "Pisteuo".
So were called, we turn, then we take our first step towards God in faith, which is a decision to turn our life and will over to God and Living a life inspired by such surrender every day.
This first step of Faith towards God is done without the Spirit of Christ, and doesn't result in recieving the Spirit of Christ. This is only the start of the salvation journey.
By Grace, through Faith. Grace is the free gift! Through Faith is something We must fulfill as defined in the Vines Greek dictionary. A surrender!
i will give you a free pepsi if u mow my lawn. hows that for a free gift to you?Salvation is not a free gift?

Christ paid for the sins of the entire world, last present and future, that is the free gift! He bought the entire field to get the treasure out of it. The treasure, (the called out ones) must respond by Faith. By making a decision to turn their life and will over to God, and live a life inspired by such surrender.
So you believe salvation is an exchange, I receive based on my giving..... Quid Pro Quo... well in that case you would be absolutely unequivocally wrong!!
True pisteuo or a Continually surrendered life can't have any expectation of anything in return! A surrendered life is no different than a surrender on a battlefield to an enemy. There's no negotiation, there's just a surrender to another to be there slave, with no rights of your own anymore.
If a surrendered life is done with expectations of something in return, that's not a surrender, but a business deal or some kind of vending machine kind of process.
So no Quid Pro Quo.
This is absolute out there to me...................... Lordship Salvation on steroids or something.
You have completely missed the Gospel.![]()
Oh you mean the mistranslation, "believe and recieve"?
That's a good example of a business deal or vending machine process. Believe and then expect all of Gods promises, and don't have any doubt that you'll receive them.
That Gospel?

It's not about a personal relationship with the Gospel, it's about a relationship with Christ, a real living person!
No disagreement there..... but it is deeper and more profound than surrender
