Do those who keep the sabbath consider the activity of keeping the sabbath, works?

either yes, they work on the sabbath which broke the sabbath law
or no, which means that in the perspective of work-salvationist, the biggest risk of losing salvation would be when they rest on the sabbath day

HE and I had numerous rounds and he RARELY used the word of GOD to actually prove his religion....and or used in out of CONTEXT........

I seem to recall David dancing like a fool when the Presence of God in the Ark of the Covenant was coming to "his house" (so to speak). And I also recall his wife Michal VERY upset about it. LOL!

It's just something that can't be understood until it's tasted - oh taste and see that the Lord is good! :giggle::love:

David did not dance like a fool.....and she got mad because he was naked or just in a loin cloth....sorry, David dancing before the Lord does not justify his fleshly manifestation nor does it give weight to modern Pentecostalism. And no offence, but the word of God is sufficient for me and taste fine......thanks....

P.S. Not mouthing......you believe what you want to believe......

Has anyone ever tried to not do ANYTHING? It takes A LOT OF WORK to do nothing.

On road trips sometimes, to get my kids to be still and not so loud in the van we'd play the Quiet Game. Just trying to be quiet takes A LOT of work! LOL! :giggle:

Well, I helped my neighbor today.......and guess what.....It did not keep me saved, add to my salvation or top off my salvation which was already eternally given by faith when I trusted Jesus as my savior.................

The irrevocable gift of life based upon faith and grace<-------He that believes on the Son is having everlasting life.

if we are paranoid of Satan, it's possible that Satan is spreading false doctrine so dcon can unintentionally sound self-righteous, which is a clever trap?

I wonder what kind of artificial intelligence (as a comparison) Satan is, deep mind? May God be deeper

I agree. David did not dance like a fool. It is best I not judge another's joy in the Lord.

dc, there are so many presents/gifts from God - make sure you've not left any not open.

if a serious topic can be so overly convicting, that sometimes, a small drop of humor is necessary to help make it more easy to "swallow" and later on, when they meditate it, it will help in the long run
 
I can't and speak for any one else. The night I'm sure I was saved by I had returned home, alone. From a meeting with some missionaries From Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. The group I was involved with used to go to parks and lagoons, studying, singing and playing instruments', Volley Ball, frisbee, That's where I got baptized. Well we took a collection and rented the auditorium of Wilson High. Just to hear the missionaries that had just returned from Africa. They refused collections!!! Well that night I was praying in the dark but I could see, with the lights out. My heart filled with joy. The next thing I can remember was thanking the Lord nd being happier than I thought a living person could be. Everything changed because of that night. I never heard myself speak in tongues but the state I was in Lord only knows. What I said happened, happened. No body will ever convince me of any thing different. I know it was real, period!
