We are cleansed the very moment we accept Jesus into our heart as our personal Lord and Savior.
M...,
We must repent to our G-d and Creator .......then we accept Christ when we are baptized.

This is where the disconnect comes in
Saying that one has not yet attained the status of being perfect according to Gods commands, is not the same as saying one is still a sinner who is lost in sin. The sinner has been saved and is no longer lost. but has been found. and is in the process of being made into a new creature which will eventually (when we are in heaven) be a glorified creature totally free from sin and the pain and sufferings sin causes. (this process is called sanctification)
Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
How you workers can not comprehend the fact that God has perfected forever (a term called justification, we have been justified FREELY) those he is in the process of growing a person from being a babe in Christ to a spiritually mature elder in Christ, and BOTH of these processes are done NOT BY HUMAN WORK, but by GODS WORK just amazes me,

It is your proposal. You create false scenarios then shoot them down.Hello Eternally grateful,
Do you believe God alone will make you into this glorified creature totally free from sin
without your participation?
blah blah bah
So I think your proposal is self defeating.
Amen! We accept Christ through faith and baptism signifies that we have accepted Christ through faith, but baptism is not the cause of accepting Christ. The tax collector got on his knees and accepted Christ, (like most people) One does not have to do a deed to accpet christ, they just have to do it.
What a circular conversation with some people.
We would never be able to stand in the presence of the Almighty unless we have been "made righteous" through Christ our Lord. Salvation provided by Him is the only way God will accept us and welcome us into His presence. He hates all sin, even just on tiny one.
After salvation, we still can't "work" enough to present ourselves in the presence of the Almighty. If we didn't have that cloak of "righteous" about us, provided for us by Christ, we could never do enough works to be admitted to the Almighty's presence.
Abide in Him is how we "grow" in Him and how we become more of His likeness. Abide in Him is not how we "keep" our salvation, because nothing we can do will ever by good enough.
Praise God for saving our worthless souls and providing us with His Righteousness.
I have the avatar picked out.It is your proposal. You create false scenarios then shoot them down.
Your next user name should be straw man.
In your previous post (#56582), you called this a self defeating scenarioIt is difficult to grasp, but the Lord is molding us to His will through His word and His Spirit,
Amen.

I just said a child of God does not walk through life an impure sinner and struggling through life, His victory is in Christ. So why would you ask me such a question? If you can be an impure fallen sinner still struggling through
life and not victorious, and God can make you into a beautiful perfect child of heaven,
1. Why does He not do this now as a witness of His power to others today?
Why does he not glorify everyone? According to the word, because not everyone believes, He who believes is not condemned, He who does not believe is condemned already.2. Why does He not do this to everyone in the world as being a sinner is no restriction?
Not sure what this has to do with what I said, I agree, Jesus came to his own and his own received him not.. But what this has to do with the ability of a person to glorify themselves. I do not understand. It is a similar idea that if God showed Himself as the creator, all would then believe in
Jesus. Just look at Israel to see what happens when God shows himself to people, they
mainly do not care.
I think you do not understand what I said, I did not make a proposal by the way, I stated what the bible says, Your argument is with God not me,So I think your proposal is self defeating.
God will not force anyone against their will. The gospel is there so those who CHOSE can recieve christ, BECOME a child of God, and THEN allow God to make sinners into children of heaven. And if God can just make sinners into children of heaven, why have the gospel at all,
and all its warnings and teachings, because there is nothing to learn or know, it just
happens.
Unfortunately you cannot paint out behavior and responsibility from being a follower
of Jesus. You do have a choice, you are given one everyday of your life.

Repent and believe is doing something, but not a work, as in being baptized.e...,
That is not scriptural;
He got on his knees didn't he?...we must repent..right?..isn't that doing something. Hello.

Amen! Those who believe the gospel have already repented in the process of changing their mind and choosing to believe the gospel. Repent and believe are inseparable in receiving salvation. Where you have one, you must have the other. Two sides to the same coin.Repent and believe is doing something, but not a work, as in being baptized.

Amen DanNow believing is clearly not a work that merits our salvation. Through believing, we are completely trusting in "Another's work," (Christ's finished work of redemption). Repenting is not a work that merits our salvation either. We must first repent "change our mind" before we can believe (trust in Christ's finished work of redemption) to save us. Through repentance/faith, Christ is still the OBJECT of our complete trust in receiving salvation.
Baptism is a work of righteousness (see Matthew 3:13-15; Titus 3:5) which follows saving faith in Christ (Acts 10:43-47) and if it's absolutely necessary for salvation, then that would add merit on our part for receiving salvation because then we would be saved through faith based on the merits of Christ's finished work of redemption "plus the work of being baptized."
