What I pointed out, is the most common Ordinances of Man that man thinks it is okey to ignore, when their is Not a Cop in your rear view mirror. GOD says it is sins, it is ALL SIN.

I'm not sure that point is being pushed here. I know it is being heard, that's for sure. But I don't think there is anyone here who has said works are the required payment for salvation. Not one.

What is being said is works show whether you have eternal life in you or not. (Which is why I can not consider several who post here as having eternal life in them based on how they consistently mistreat me and others.) And so in that way works determine if you are saved or not. That message falls on deaf ears in the church today. This thread is proof of that. Once saved always saved teaching made it so the church can not hear that message. And I mean exactly that. They literally can not process the argument in their minds. That's how powerful the deception is right now in the church.

There is.

The person who is living in their old life as a matter of lifestyle is not born again. Whether they lost their salvation or never had it to begin with is meaningless since the simple fact exists that they do not now have eternal life for it to even matter. And works matter only to salvation to the extent they show one to have eternal life already and are ready to meet Jesus when he returns.

There's your line.

Works do matter. Just not the way most people in the church can only understand them to matter.

well yes it does matter

if they are not born again
they are not saved

if a muslim or someone else without faith in Jesus
repented of every sin
they are still going go hell without His imputed righteousness
it doesnt matter if they get a new life daily

if you are born again
you will be covered by Him
you are part of His family

love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
meekness, temperance

we should also say charity

but none of these things save us
or keep us saved

this is God providing the transformation


no one should look at Gods grace or the GIFT of salvation to those who believe on the name of Jesus as a "now i can do all these sins i love" card

if you love these sins so much you dont even care what Jesus had to go through and it doesnt hurt your new heart that youre choosing flesh

Of course, mention works and you're said to be preaching a "works gospel." Many see the mere mention of evidence of conversion as works, conflating the two. At least one on here is adamant there is no evidence of conversion, yet the same isn't sound in doctrine nor does the person understand the Biblical Gospel.

The Gospel has been turned into a say a prayer and you're in no matter what trick. Easy as pie.

And just think, the person can live how they want, too. God doesn't mind as long as the person was sincere about wanting to go to heaven when they die, whatever happens with how the person lives in between doesn't mean squat.

To give an illustration of just how bad it is, I know of a few people who were cast out of a Baptist church for believing in evidence of conversion as per Scripture. In fact a member called the police on them because the "pastor" was yelling at them, not vice versa, so they all walked out graciously and quietly while being called "works salvationists." Many members were upset that pastor did this, stood with those whom he screamed at, yet remained in this "church."

No, you are not allowed to be saved a second time.

And you can only lose your salvation if you being a liar, or a fornicator, or a thief, or a hater, or whatever shows that you do not trust in Christ anymore. That is when you can lose your salvation. And you will not be allowed to get it back.

For most people though, I'm guessing their unrepentant bad behavior shows they never were saved to begin with. That part of traditional once saved always saved doctrine I agree with.

Utter nonsense. Scripture says nothing of the latter and you're adding to the word, which is no real surprise.

Living in any of the aforementioned sins shows the person doesn't possess eternal life. It shows they've never been converted.

For most people though, I'm guessing that their bad behavior shows they never were saved to begin with.

As much as we want to think there are unbelievers who live lives like Christ it just isn't true. Christ himself said you can not bear fruit apart from him. Only those in Christ are growing up into the fruit of the Spirit as a way of life. Only believers.

Yes, really.

I believe, as traditional once saved always doctrine does, that the person who is not changed is not born again. The part I resist is the part that says once you are saved you will always be saved. That may be true for 4th kind of soil believers in Jesus' parable of the sower, but it surely is not for 2nd kind of soil believers.

You are saved and not going back to the world when you grow to that point.
