John 17:3 - And
this is eternal life, that they may
know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent (which is an intimate, experiential knowledge, found only in a relationship). The term "know" implies intimate, experiential knowledge, through a relationship with Him (which all genuine believers have) and not merely theoretical knowledge. I would not necessarily have to say anything either, because He knows me as well, but to demonstrate what I'm trusting in for salvation, here is what I would say below:
I would say to Jesus, "because You, God in the flesh, died for my sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead on the third day to provide for me eternal life. I have placed my faith (belief, trust, reliance) in YOU alone as the ALL-sufficient means of my salvation. Praise God!
