I see your sincerity to never give up, even though in difficulties. The problem with our problem of sin is no solution until Christ did on the cross of Calvary. Christ did! 'Tis already done to this great transaction. Christ said, "it is finished", complete. Are you still going to persevere? Perhaps, you just misunderstood what your text says by not reading the whole context. I urge you to that for God's glory!

God is getting the glory when I persevere in the grace He has given me; especially unto the end. (y)

Pushing through to the end is the only thing we can do, cuz we can't give up, lay down and refuse to go on living and commit suicide. HOWEVER, when you believe on Jesus and accept His grace, THAT is when you are saved. Otherwise Jesus would be a liar.

if i'm the one mighty or clever enough to achieve it, then i'm the one getting the glory.
if i have nothing i did not receive from Him, He is the one being glorified.

The horse is prepared for the day of battle, ​
but deliverance is of the LORD ​

He does not delight in the strength of the horse;
He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.

If you truly believe Jesus until the end, you will persevere. If you don't persevere until the end, you never believed Jesus 100% and you were never saved to begin with.

We persevere in the New Testament, we are not under the Old Testament law; I don't know why you think you are. :(
