making a general statement that applies to everyone is not fruit inspection any more than saying "all apples with worms are rotten" qualifies you as a fruit inspector.

how can anyone preach on a pulpit anywhere if this is true? everyone sins thats why you cant say anything to me. poor attitude in my opinion.
i think the idea is to rebuke people in areas where you have the victory. if you are living in fornication, dont tell others about it. if you are a drunkard, dont tell others about it. but if you are no longer a drunkard, you can tell someone.
thats how i think it is.

No, actually according to Romans 7, it is possible to do the things you hate.

One has to keep in mind the other party is probably 100% committed to deny everything.
I remember showing a member what they had posted two posts prior, which they simply
denied. When people are this deluded, it is just a circus so one has to realise the environment
one is in.
But this gets sad when the same posters claim what they are saying has eternal consequences.
I trust in God there is something much deeper at work, because if this was true, some are really lost.

That's not the point, Mac. When you sin (and you do - every single day - as we all do) it's a choice to "live as we please".
All sin is a choice.
Be it one sin a day, or a thousand, a single sin attributed to us will damn us. That's why I have such a problem with self-righteous hypocrites who love to thunder down judgment on people for sinning, when they are just as guilty of doing the same.

and that is not inspecting fruit any more than Jimmy did in my analogy.

I agree 100%. We preach a gospel of overcoming the world and worldly passions.
No preacher can share about sins they have not conquered.
But unfortunately some project failure where there is none, and claim authority in doing so.
So to the free grace group, no one can preach against sin, because in Christ they have not overcome
sin or slavery to it. The accuser himself could not invent a bigger lie than this.
Christs people are washed and purified in their hearts and in their walk. And their liberation in their
hearts and the joy Christs brings is something to rejoice about and bring others into.
