My thoughts as well.......there are many saved people that disagree with the 2nd coming, the 70th week of Daniel, the age of the earth, gap theory or no such thing etc....and ALL with opinions <---heretic means opinionated one.......yet they make heaven by faith.....

This is what I find...very sad indeed.
Jesus didn't have to preach for over 3 years.
All those letters didn't have to be written...
All the Apostles and those that came after them had to do was to say
Believe in Jesus with your knowledge (mind) and then you'll be saved and that's all you have to do.

Simple.
There must be a REASON why the gate is narrow and why not many find it.

Because the door keeps being widened by faith being embellished with every flavor of religious hoop jumping...........and anyone with eyes open can see that the letters were written to instruct us how to LIVE.....NOT how to be saved eternally!

Can I offer you some help? Why not just say that as Peter does not actually state those referred to will actually end up in an unsaved state, we can assume they will not.

Thoughtful of you. I am on another site that is very friendly with good doctrine.
I come back every now and then to see what's going on and to bother @dcontroversal ....
I don't hate anyone here...I just wish they were nicer.
We can not agree on doctrine and discuss it but still do it with love.

You say those that do not believe in OSAS scare the poor new Christians, or unstable Christians, because we make them think they could get lost and end up in hell.

Now YOU,,,,you're much better at comforting people I guess...or are you?

You tell them RIGHT OUT that they're going to hell !

Yep.....the Catholic Church said that about the 60 to 80 million ANA-Baptists, Paulicians, Albigensians, Lollards, Waldensians etc. that they murdered in the dark ages for a refusal to confess once a year in the ears of a priest or take communion with the Catholic Church....

And I wonder how many innocent women were burnt at the stake for being heretical witches by the super duper hyper religious Christians in the 1600's......

DC attacked me first like a wild rabid dog before I ever said anything negative about him

Oh and btw, thanks for refuting him. He said it takes years for a believer to start bearing fruit, and you said that God can use a new believer's changed life to draw people to Himself...and that is bearing fruit.

SO you just stated that you don't have to be a believer for years to bear fruit.

It is GOd who gives the increase anyways, in any case, in any situation.

and I tell no one anything other than there is only one gospel of salvation....and faith plus works to gain, keep, finish, top off or embellish salvation is not it.....a false message with no power to save, double cursed and all who believe it are fools and bewitched.....<---GOD said that by the hand of PAUL....take it up wit GOD....your beef is with GOD..not me.....
