The bible says that those who die in unbelief will not get to heaven

It does not say a person who does not believe in the correct age of the earth will not get to heaven. Yet people claim that would be heresy

My thoughts as well.......there are many saved people that disagree with the 2nd coming, the 70th week of Daniel, the age of the earth, gap theory or no such thing etc....and ALL with opinions <---heretic means opinionated one.......yet they make heaven by faith.....

I know persons that have never read the bible and are more humble and in keeping with the Sermon on the Mount than some on these sites.

I came here for fellowship because of where I live...
This is what I find...very sad indeed.
Jesus didn't have to preach for over 3 years.
All those letters didn't have to be written...
All the Apostles and those that came after them had to do was to say
Believe in Jesus with your knowledge (mind) and then you'll be saved and that's all you have to do.

Simple.
There must be a REASON why the gate is narrow and why not many find it.

Because the door keeps being widened by faith being embellished with every flavor of religious hoop jumping...........and anyone with eyes open can see that the letters were written to instruct us how to LIVE.....NOT how to be saved eternally!

Can I offer you some help? Why not just say that as Peter does not actually state those referred to will actually end up in an unsaved state, we can assume they will not.

It really is true, the average pew sitter, who has read nowhere near as much of the bible as the average internet debater, nor read the greek, nor searched through concordances such as strongs understands more of what is most important in the faith than those who spend huge amounts of time debating the bible on the internet.
People come who have read the letter of the bible inside out and believe they are gifted teachers of the word, but it is not enough to know the letter, if it was the Pharisees of Jesus day would have welcomed Christ, not rejected him. I am sorry for the poblems you have had here. There are other sites you may be happier with

Thoughtful of you. I am on another site that is very friendly with good doctrine.
I come back every now and then to see what's going on and to bother @dcontroversal ....
I don't hate anyone here...I just wish they were nicer.

And I wonder how many innocent women were burnt at the stake for being heretical witches by the super duper hyper religious Christians in the 1600's......
