I can share why we forgive ourselves and love ourselves. This just recently came to me. It's because we are members of His body and to not love ourselves, is to not love Him.
I just don't like that word deserve either. We are precious to Him...worthy to Him because He viewed us of worth to save. But, deserved does sound like we did something to earn just as someone said...I think it was McGee but not sure.
Did the world deserve His death? After all He did die for all the world.
He doesn't teach the new creation man Preacher?
i feel EVEN THOUGH i didnt deserve it he STILL loved me enough to die for everyone
and give us all a way out
but from a perspective... what was it i did to deserve it?
if we are looking at deserve as something God shows grace to...
well...
lol then i suppose by God i deserve it
but my personal definition of deserve is = to earn
so its hard for me to make a stretch like that
If you were starving because an enemy was keeping food from you intentionally and a soldier rescued you because you need to be free and eat again....
what did he feel...he felt that you deserved to be free and he felt you deserved a meal...

Meggido was saying we still have choice. While that is true, would not the fact that when we first chose to believe and was sealed in spirit, that God is declaring His having made His choice of us?
Can our choices override Gods? I would think not. It's done.
Or he was compassionate towards me and desired to set me free. That's how I view the Lord.
The Bible kinda says this, right?
God showed His own love for us in this: while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. He gave His life for the sins of the whole world. Those are paraphrases, not direct quotes from Scripture. Those who are lost are those who have not yet repented and believed. They are in rebellion against Him. Your turnHow much plainer does one have to make this? why don't you clarify?
NNM you on the right path brother and you are also a ray of light....keep walking it out...
You would have to be pretty blind to not see the evidence of the Holy spirit....
but none of us payed for grace... none of us deserved what Jesus did for us...
There is no salvation and then walking away and losing it...that is a lie from hell....anyone who walks away was never of us to begin with per JOHN.....they never had salvation to begin with!!
We need to get humble before Him to realize it, illuminated by the Holy Spirit of GodThe point you are making though Meggido...to identify now with His righteousness, rather than our sinful past that we died with Jesus in His death, and are now risen with in resurrection life. True?
Do we have to deserve it to realize it?
Or he was compassionate towards me and desired to set me free. That's how I view the Lord.
