With all this talk of things exploding, I'm surprised the Singles forum hasn't gone down in flames. Oh wait... Everyone seems to be pairing up so I guess in a way it has!!

True story--my small group Christmas party had a white elephant gift exchange, and one couple brought a LARGE box labeled "50,000 Matches."

One person chose that gift, thinking it would surely be something else, and the best gift of all because of the large box. But lo and behold, guess what was inside the box? Yup. 50,000 matches. The couple who brought it said their mother-in-law had given it to them one year and said, "Here's that new microwave you needed."

One of the guys in our group traded twice to get that box of matches, stating that "fires are my life." (Grace, I don't know about a guy frolicking in a field of tulips, but how about 50,000 matches?) He posted a picture of himself on Facebook with those matches and a devious grin... whic promptly resulted in several church members posting replies that cannot be repeated here.

What would I do with 50,000 matches... Hmmm...

1) I could build a fort in the living room with holes for fixing my water cannons and a draw-gate. Entrance to the fort is only by a secret password.

No, I won't tell you what it is.


2) I could build a raft and set sail in my bathtub.

"Yo ho! Yo ho! A pirate's life for me!!"

My cat is gone now but I still remember the smell when she caught birds and brought them to the carport to eat them. Mice, squirrels, moles, even a rabbit she killed and left the whole thing on the carport, but birds she would eat. When she was eating a bird it would smell like really fresh ground chuck.

I think she ate better food than I did...
 
The one thing that smells so good is when you come home and as you step in the front door you get a big whiff of dinner in the slow cooker(especially pot roast)

Was highly displeasing to Millicent.

2) rain hitting the ground
3) my lotion and body spray: jasmine cherry blossom
4) new shoes (lol)

Smell of burning wood in the fireplace
Love waking up on the weekend to the smell of coffee and bacon

I must have food on my mind.. lol.. :o
