Hi there. It's my last-ditch effort on this site anyway.
I will never give up on God's plan for my life.
I think we all have been there.
I don't know if you like music but I think this song showcases the remnant true believers in the body of Christ.

I get a little teary eyed when I listen to it.I love music (cf. the "Mining Secular Music..." thread;
love Twila's album, including this song:
How beautiful, the hands that served
The wine and the bread, and the sons of the Earth
How beautiful, the feet that walked
The long, dusty roads and the hill to the cross
How beautiful, How beautiful
How beautiful is the body of Christ!
How beautiful, the heart that bled
That took all my sin and bore it instead
How beautiful, the tender eyes
That choose to forgive, and never despise
How beautiful, How beautiful
How beautiful is the body of Christ!
And as He lay down His life
We offer this sacrifice
That we will live just as He died
Willing to pay the price
Willing to pay the price.
How beautiful, the radiant bride
Who waits for her groom with His light in her eyes
How beautiful when humble hearts give
The fruit of pure lives so that others may live
How beautiful, How beautiful
How beautiful is the body of Christ!
How beautiful, the faith that bring
The sound of good news and the love of the King
How beautiful, the hands that serve
The wine and the bread, and the sons of the Earth
How beautiful, How beautiful
How beautiful is the body of Christ!
Amen!

Good morning friend. Do you have a link for that topic?
It's difficult trying to mediate when i don't know the post history between you two but if i can say a few words about you and pinebeach is that i know her enough to know that she means well, despite our disagreements.
And so far i know you enough that you are more sensistive or empathic due to your situation. As you saw from the post that @ThereRoseaLamb gave you, she is also more empathetic in post 42.
What does empathy give you? I would say it gives you an advantage because you get closer to God and you know people right away. And it also should give you forgiveness.
There are many good people here as i said, but i don't agree with most of them. In fact there is one member who i completely disagree with 99% of what he says, how he says it and when he says it. Yet, i knew he might have had his own issues (even before he said it himself) and i forgave all the disagreements.
If i were to debate people on small things like that, what would that give me? Nothing i would say. It would be a waste of time. So, i enjoy the good and forget the bad. People are like magnets on a spiritual level. Sometimes they attract sometimes they repel. Don't fight God's design. Let it be. Things have to run their course.
There are also members here who are plain malicious. Your empathy should recognize this also. Those are the ones who i do respond from time to time so i can give them a taste of their own medicine but ultimately they might have had issues of their own too and a lot of them are linked to childhood. Even the malicious ones are children of God who want to be loved by God with whatever happened to them in their lives.
So be strong, put God first, love your wife and talk to God on a daily basis while doing simple tasks. It can turn them into a pleasure. Almost like being in The Garden with Him.
God bless you my friend.
Yea I read that post and replied to it. So in a few words what exactly are you looking for on Christian Chat? Are you looking to discuss theology and scripture or are you simply looking to discuss other life issues and build relationships?

Been on any other "Christian" forums? Not much different on the other few I've been to. I think the key to keeping a tone is like one very staunch reformed site I posted a couple times on, respectfully I thought, then was hammered by some lady moderator and put in the corner for a week or two with no posting abilities, then came back some time later, made one comment or asked a question and was banned. Our systematic theology or the highway. Why don't you put a forum on your site and I'll try to find that lady to moderate for you.
Ross Perot, that is an interesting flashback to have etched in your mind as a course-changing event.
Your post just makes me lament that I wasn't prepared when my sons were young.
When my younger son was a child and didn't want to sit through church, we would go to McDonald's while my wife and older son would sit through the service.
They say wisdom comes with age, but I'm no example of that.
I'm also trying to prepare my mind for if I am ever again able to be mobile and ever have to decide if I would move, and where. It's morbid for me to consider. I do want to outlive Donna, if only so that no one else is burdened to do what I love doing.
I loved your history! So, maybe you could adopt us?
.
I would gladly adopt you.
My girls could never quote scriptures as well as their Baptist friends who memorized passages for stickers or their Charismatic friends who did so to avoid punishment They were raised to know the Father when they saw Him in their circumstances and in others. They are not so easily fooled, for example, by politicians or co-workers who present themselves one way through speech but act differently when few are looking.
But take heart! Because our Lord lives both within and outside time and space we may, through Him, redeem even time itself.
“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”
15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil."
In Christ, God may restore whatever evil took in our youth. I've seen this mostly in relationships between siblings and between parents and children. Even more than that, He can cause rich, relational growth between people that would normally have taken years to foster. This is because our most resilient connection to others is in the Spirit, not in the flesh. Our spirits are not governed by time. Ha! Even in the natural, Theoretical Physics (my wife teaches Physics) demonstrates the possibility of timelessness through multi-dimensional travel through parallel universes. That's just nerd-stuff. Science is always playing catch-up to the majesty of God revealed to us by the Spirit.![]()

I've seen your debate style. It leaves a lot to be desired. People will need to read the marriage thread to understand.
*exhales* You lighten my mood.
Thank you for replying again. I needed that.
I would love to sit outside by a fire with you and swap stories.
We could sit on my deck overlooking the creek that runs through our back yard.
Once, I was sitting on the deck enjoying the singing birds (the Mrs. and I are birders) and the warm sun when a bald eagle flew over the house, skimmed the yard about 3 feet high, swooped into the creek to grab a fish, and flew off.
I looked at my wife and said "We're living in a post card!".
That same evening, a buck, his Mrs, and two of their babies came into our yard to grab a couple apples from our trees. From about 20 yards away he kept an eye on us while his family ate.
It's a little slice of heaven.
I'm assuming this is tongue-in-cheek sarcasm trying to be humorous?
I checked out other sites. They were on the face terrible.
I saw some interesting threads here and joined because of the thread referred to.
I will be posting links.
