I like oats too, but took Dr Peter Osborne's classes on grains that cautions about wheat, barley, oats, corn and rice.
He has some classes on grains effects on mental illnesses. There are all kinds of fiber rich foods to choose from. Then there's herbs and gut Flora that help.

If it's regularity and detox, That's a very good priority. Dr Daniels channel, the black lady Dr, has good information on that.

Regularity and Self Evaluation
Thanks for bringing that up, as I recall those grains do or did have a negative effect on mental clarity(at least for me), especially when I wasn’t lifting weights, getting enough sun or eating a balanced diet.

I also discovered that if I take off my glasses outside, instead of having them on (even though it’s blurry) that it boosts my mood big time, not sure how that affects others.

When it comes to HDL cholesterol being low or Triglycerides being too high, I brought up to my nurse practitioner that I have to add more avocados and oats to my diet, to get healthy fats and fiber, along with continued exercise.

She gave me a better alternative…take fish oil supplements for healthy fats and five almonds a day for fiber.

Now I absolutely hate almonds, so I might just continue eating oats, especially since I have a giant bag of rolled oats but I thought that sharing about that alternative might really h

You don't want to look at the sun. But what you said about getting enough sun is important in the morning. It sets the circadian rhythm and helps with proper hormone production.
What you notice about boosting your mood is awesome. It has no harmful side effects. In fact if it's warm enough to expose arms and legs, the hormone/vitamin D3 is produced if you have enough cholesterol. This helps us feel better and increases the immune function.
