but just because he has that photo on his profile doesn't mean he's wrong. I don't know what he was trying to convey, but the way I understand it is partially correct, even if "lustful" isn't the right term.
It's important for everyone here to understand that we, as males, are physiologically and psychologically wired to respond to visual sexual stimuli. When we see an attractive girl who may (or may not be) showing too much skin, our thought processes go wild. THAT isn't our fault. What can be our fault is looking for these stimuli for the purpose of being stimulated.

Basically, thoughts that we have when we see something that is naturally stimulating aren't necessarily "wrong," but they have to be controlled, and we shouldn't go looking for these stimuli. But that's just my 2 cents.

1) Avoid situations where women are dressed in a way that will provoke your eyes
2) When you can't don't look. It takes a conscious decision to look away.

You can't keep a bird from landing on your head, but you can keep it from building a nest; it's the same thing with looking, sometimes our eyes fall on something we see whether we want to or not but we choose to let our eyes and mind dwell on it.

You have to retrain your sinful nature which loves to use our eyes as an instrument of unrighteousness. It can be done, it just takes work and dependence on God.

So why do some people kill, steal, rape, etc when they're all made in God's image as well? We're all fallen, per Adam and Eve's mistake. Your argument doesn't make any sense.

Doesn't look like an argument to me, just looks like a statement. Funny how people like to try to justify and make excuses for their wordliness. Get real.
 
Just because Adam and Eve messed up, people act like we should follow in their footsteps. Don't take the salvation of Christ for granted!!! Yes, people slip up from time to time, some more than others. I am so sick and tired of people trying to make it seem like it's ok to dwell in the flesh instead of growing spiritually in Christ. Yeah seaco711, man did fall....that is no excuse to not get back up, to take up your cross and follow Christ!

No, you don't understand. You insinuated that since YOU are created in the image of God, YOU'RE not lustful. All guys WILL have lustful thoughts whether we like it or not. Yes, we need to rely on God and try our best to control and minimize those thoughts, but saying "I don't know who you say your creator is, but mine is almighty God and he didn't make me in the image of lust," sounds like you're saying you're better than everyone else, and you would never succumb to lustful thoughts. But I bet you have - just like everyone else at one time or another.

You couldn't be more wrong. I made no insinuations, nor did I say that I never have thoughts of lust. All men do! I was correcting him by saying that we are created in the image of God, not "created to be lustful" like he phrased it. We are all created in the image and likeness of God, not just me. Take a closer look before you go bashing people next time dude, and don't rely on your perception to find ones intentions or insinuations.

I don't think staying away from all the lust isn't very good either. Lust is a tool to get attracted to others and finally fall in love and make little babies. Plus trying to keep away from lust all of your life leads to (sexual) frustration. Just take a look at the catholic priests.

Nicely put. But I think everyone is kind of confusing lust and attraction... Albeit there is a fine line.

The problem with Catholic priests is they have an unBiblical doctrine of celibacy forced on them. If you do a search of 'lust' in the Bible, it is never in a positive light (I counted 53 times the word lust is used-or a form of the word- in the KJV, none are positive). So one can conclude lust is not a good thing. As another poster said, attraction and lust are 2 different things. You can be attracted to different aspects of a persons being, things that aren't sexual , lust tends to go to 'forbidden' things, such as sex.
