What's a natural man according to Paul?

Paul said about the natural man..
(1 Corinthians 2:14) "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

In the second year of the rule of King Darius who was his governor of Judea ?

Zerubbabel was governor of Judah

Haggai 1:1 - New King James Version

1 In the second year of King Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,

The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians ch 2 v 14

He was found in the temple discussing theology with the priests.. And they where astounded by His understanding..

I think it was recorded to let us know that Jesus already had the knowledge of the truth as a child.. He did not need to go to some religious school or Torah colledge.. He already knew it all.. And He knew it better then the priests of the temple..

Ok another Question::

In the Bible there is an account of a great mountain burning with fire that is to be cast into the sea..

What is the name of this great mountain?

Whoa! Hold on... where's the Bible verse to support your answer? We need the Bible verse incase someone would like to read about it. I'll do it for you this time but.... next time you got to post the Bible verse with your answer.

Luke 2:46-50 - New King James Version

46 Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.
47 And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.
48 So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.”
49 And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
50 But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.

I think it was recorded to let us know that Jesus already had the knowledge of the truth as a child.. He did not need to go to some religious school or Torah colledge.. He already knew it all.. And He knew it better then the priests of the temple..

Thank you for sharing your insight with us. I'm thinking Jesus was in the Temple because it had something to do with "being about His Father's business." I think at 12 years old, sons were taught the Family Business.....:unsure:

Can anyone tell us where this verse is that i am paraphrasing in red:

For God has condemned all people to unbelief so that he may show mercy to them all.

For God to show mercy to all people, he condemned them, making them qualified to be the recipient of His Grace. Note that condemnation is a good thing here. There are two condemnations in the NT. A temporal condemnation (in Adam, there are no eternal consequences) and an eternal condemnation for rejection God's offer of salvation).

Your paraphrase is not in the Bible.

To play Bible Trivia you are to ask a question that can be answered with a Bible verse. Interpretation of scripture is NOT an answer.

AFTER the question is answered with a Bible verse, then you can share any insight you have regarding the question and answer.

Ok another Question::

In the Bible there is an account of a great mountain burning with fire that is to be cast into the sea..

What is the name of this great mountain?

My first thought was the scripture that speaks of a great mountain that stands in Zerubbabel’s way… I’m not sure if the scriptures give the great mountain a name… I shall go find it… be right back! :unsure:

Wormwood?
I’m thinking @EddieM got it right… wormwood but, we need the Bible verse to verify if answer is correct.

EddieM - can you give us the Bible verse with your answer?

Well… perhaps it’s not wormwood either… according to scripture, wormwood is a star - not a mountain and it’s not cast into the sea so, the answer is not wormwood.

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

@Adstar - you might need to help us out with this one… 😍😊

Wormwood?

Correct.. :)

(Revelation 8:8-11) "And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; {9} And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. {10} And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; {11} And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter."
