Neither Mary and John the Baptist, nor Elizabeth, were God, as Jesus is.
Therefore, they received the Holy Spirit at the time of their faith, not their birth.
God, including Jesus, has no other spirit than the Holy Spirit.
It is their personal Spirit, just as my human spirit is my personal immortal spirit.
I am born with my human spirit in spiritual death (no Holy Spirit life),
and it remains in spiritual death until I am born again into eternal life (Holy Spirit life) through faith by grace.
Jesus is eternal life. . .as well as the way and the truth. . .he doesn't need to receive the Holy Spirit which he already has.
That is simply your assumption. . .the text does not state that Jesus "received' the Holy Spirit at his baptism.
Neither Mary and John the Baptist, nor Elizabeth, were God, as Jesus is.
again prove what your saying , speculation, see the bible quotes, prove them wrong.
You have given me no bible quotes which state that the Holy Spirit
entered Jesus (as he enters us) when he
rested on Jesus.
Words matter. . ."rest" and "enter" are not the same thing.
The Holy Spirit
entered Mary and Elizabeth with their faith, as he
enters those in the NT with their faitih.
Jesus was born with the Holy Spirit within him as his personal spirit,
just as we are born with our own personal immortal spirits.
The Holy Spirit did not
enter Jesus at some point after his birth, for as God incarnate he was born
with the Holy Spirit
within him as his personal spirit because the Holy Spirit is the personal spirit of both the Father and the Son.
and what is your point, did he or did he not, get the holy spirit here.
Are you paying attention. . .already answered. . .will do so again.
No, he did not receive the Holy Spirit here, he was born with the Holy Spirit as his own spirit.
would that be before death or after. (eternal life )
Do you know the meaning of "eternal life"?
It is not about its everlasting
duration, it is about its divine
nature.
It is
divine life, Holy Spirit life, within the spirits of the born again.
As God,
Jesus is eternal life.
6 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
can you connect the dots.
.16 And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he sawSpirit of God desending like a dove and coming to rest on him;17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."Matthew 3
can you read
who led jesus into the desert. would that be holy in front of the word spirit.
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.Matthew 4
Yes, the Holy Spirit led him into the desert, the
same Holy Spirit who was within him since his birth, his own personal spirit.
You are assuming the Holy Spirit
resting on him means
entering into him.
And you are assuming that the Holy Spirit who led him into the desert was not within him prior to that point.
However, neither of your assumptions are
stated in the NT.
