Yeah, that pesky Chapter 15, whereby ONLY God, creating the eternal covenant with Abraham and his descendants, walked through the cut pieces SEALING FOREVER the covenant. Abraham DID NOT!

God’s Covenant with Abram
15 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”

2 But Abram said, “Lord God, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” 3 Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!”

4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” 5 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”

6 And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

7 Then He said to him, “I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.”

8 And he said, “Lord God, how shall I know that I will inherit it?”

9 So He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” 10 Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. 11 And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.

12 Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. 13 Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. 14 And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions. 15 Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age. 16 But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”

17 And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces. 18 On the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying:

“To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates— 19 the Kenites, the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites, 20 the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, 21 the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”

So ISRAEL should chant, "From the river (Euphrates) to the sea ISRAEL WILL be free"!

Amen

Hey did ya hear the news today? The U.N. having a very hard time delivering food to Gaza because hamas wants to be in charge of it And keeps interrupting the distribution just like those nasty jews said.

I love how honest they can be about their intentions at times.

Agreed but define "Jews".

This is at the core of the issue.

So please define a Jew at the time of the giving of the Abrahamic covenant.

I get where you're headed. There are no Jews left in your opinion, not in that lineage. Wouldn't have God seen that future and said so in the Bible? Why say everlasting when it meant temporary? That doesn't make sense IMO

Someone's evil but its not the Israelites. May the lord God forgive you and have ever chance to be saved.

Of the people I've known who believe replacement theology, they have a very deep bias against Jews. It's revealed when certain tropes are brought up and then comes the belief that the church gets all the blessings and the Jews get all the curses. But the Bible doesn't say that. And I can't understand how they don't understand the mercy and grace of God. The story of God and His chosen people should inspire them, should make them feel grateful that God is so merciful that He would still be calling and reaching to the Jews. But it seems to bring bitterness and anger, and I have never understood it.

  • Deuteronomy 7:6-9:
This passage highlights that God chose Israel not because of their greatness or number, but because of His love and faithfulness to the promises made to their ancestors. It also emphasizes that God keeps His covenant for a thousand generations.

When Lucifer got kicked out of Heaven because of pride and God chose the Jews as His chosen people, a hatred and vengeance against the Jews began.
What does Genesis 3:15
God promises to make enemies of Satan and the woman. In fact, their offspring—or "seed"—will remain enemies throughout all generations.

Yes but we are talking about Israel and God commanded them to keep their genealogy
and its cooked. it was all destroyed in 70ad. why? because that doesnt matter anymore. now you are in Christ or not

did you just claim she potentially isn't saved because she has a different political opinion than you? great.

1) Satan still is in heaven, and 2) God chose Abraham because he was a man of faith and used him to establish a framework of law in order that sin could be judged so that the power of the devil could be destroyed allowing mankind to be saved. The woman's seed is of faith; that's what breaks the power of Satan and why he hates Christ and the seed of Abraham, ie those of faith. Satan loves anything having to do with the flesh.

And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:29

Someone posted a video earlier of some influencer staing that those who oppose their views on Israel are committing blasphemy. Notice that you got a thumbs down from someone for asking a simple question. So yes, a cult-like mindset has appeared that conflates worldly things with spiritual things and considers this eschatological issue salvational.

God fulfilled that covenant in Christ. He would keep his old covenants for a thousand generations if necessary, but it wasn't necessary because they have all been fulfilled in Christ; the new covenant subsumes them all. God wanted to destroy the children of Israel and raise up a new seed through Moses; and Christ said God could raise up children of Abraham from stones laying on the ground, both of which would have taken generatiosn to accomplish. But none of that was necessary because Christ fulfilled everything necessary to bring in the new covenant, through which everyone of faith can be saved.

You're just projecting some strange movie that's playing in your head. The way of blessing is open to all people. Paul makes clear in Romans 11 that God has not excluded Jews from the blessings because of their former national disobedience; they are welcome to come individually and be blessed like everyone else is. But no one can receive the blessings in unbelief. You are the one who is constantly bitter and angry with people who are not interested in the movie playing in your head.

Nope, this I would not agree with. That the present unbelieve of the jews will have an end one day. The bible says! So that means not that Israel is not longer his choosen Nation. If you notice the history of Israel you find that this nation Was the most time not fing what God said. In Hesekiel we find a nice word which often is repeatet: unruly!,
But still God holds his Hand uppon them. And carry them through. If not, this nation would have had an end centurys ago.
The nations will march against Israel. This has to come. So we must not wonder what we see today. BUT, Jesus himself will rescue them. Btw, the Antichrist will come before this will happen. So the bible says.

We are the individual branches now that is made clear, the discarded branches can still be part of the tree by faith.

I think one can only defend the evil of mass starvation of people from a bitter place.
This is what ethnic exceptionalism does to people.

When reading this post I paused to realize that some here do not understand that the word "everlasting" can have a different meaning based on perspective.

Everlasting does not always encompass the understanding of perpetual without bounds or restrictions.

God is not bound by our personal way of regarding a promise.

Example: Exodus 32:10
"So now leave Me alone, that My anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them; and I will make of you a great nation."

God was about to destroy the very people that He promised to bring into the promised land and begin a new covenant with the Levite Moses and ending the line of Judah forever.

Remember:

Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Yes this is what happens when people loose the argument.
Salvation is by believing on the Lord Christ Jesus.
Time for ignore.

a cult-like mindset

Very, and even when we explain that it is not replacement theology since there was always one group of faith/one church starting in the OT they still make that false charge.
"Cult like mind" creates and very inflexible mind.

I think they cannot deny the evil being perpetuated unless they lie to themselves, it is plain as day now, so they are very challenged in how to defend what they have idolized and have been told was of God.

The core of what issue? Obviously there were no Jews at that time. But God's promise was also to Abraham's offspring as you well know. You also know that Abraham's offspring includes the Jews. There is no issue apart from the one you have confected.
