It has never been about physical genealogy. Jesus said the father could raise up children of Abraham from rocks because Abraham's children are of faith.
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. Luke 3:8
Being a son of Abraham didn't mean anything unless he was circumcised. And a foreigner could become circumcised and be considered Israel. The only reason God blessed natural Israel was to keep his promises to Abraham. Once everything was fulfilled in Christ, that no longer applies. All of the blessings are now to those in Christ.-

Exactly. I wanted to add, though - And being a son of Abraham and physically circumcised was still of no value if the heart remained uncircumcised. Even the Pharisees were condemned as children of the devil, despite being of Abraham's physical lineage and having the physical covenant sign.

Not really Abraham is where the promise began regarding his descendants thoer acceptans was only because of the promise made to Abraham

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.”

Abraham isn’t a cog in a wheel he’s the fether of our covenant he’s the man he the promise is made to the man of faith Abraham his faithfulness is why we have the promise
