I believe that the dream was saying that Iron (Roman) and clay (Israel/Judah) would be intertwined, but that they would not mix, so to speak. They were together, but were totally different. Then, I believe that the church was the new kingdom, and it went throughout the world. I do not believe that we will stay here on earth forever, but we are established in Jesus now while we are here, but it is part of the kingdom of heaven that will last forever. I am not waiting for a thousand year reign here on earth. I think that this has most likely already happened, although I am not really sold on the idea that a thousand years just means a long time. I think that It probably means pretty close to a thousand years. Actually, the thousand year reign gets to me more than most of the prophecies, because I don't really understand when this did or will take place.

Yes...and the Jesus didn't really die but faked his death, He had a twin brother, they went to the wrong tomb not to mention Jesus was an alien. Interestingly the only one that there isn't eveidence to the contrary is that Jesus was an alien....hmmmmm. I'd say God is definitely a foreign body from this world.

The Jesus as a myth story actually originated in about the 18th century, I believe. The gospels have been around for around 2 thousand years and have withstood the most intense scrutiny of any other "religious" movement. The myths that Jesus life are supposedly based on have also been rigorously compared to every aspect of the gospel and frankly have proven to fall short in area's in to large of numbers to write here.

I don't think that the bible really foretells much, if anything, past the first century. I do believe that Jesus will come back, but I don't think He will be staying for a thousand year reign. Some say that this causes us to be inactive, but I do not agree. We still have the same purpose - To love God and our neighbor. I don't really know why people read Revelation and see how many times it says soon along with "the time is near" and think we are still waiting for it. I don't say this to put anyone down and many people that I know and love believe that Revelation has not been fulfilled. And I don't really think it's a salvation issue, at least I hope not. Because I feel pretty much alone in my views and I don't want all those people to be condemned and I'm not too fond of the idea for myself either.

Could it have something to do with your assertion that you don't want to listen to God (or a god in the pagan sense) contradicting your deliberate choice to spend time on a Christian website where God's Word is taught?

I laugh quite uncontrollably when people call atheists liars.....Calling me an atheist because i just dont want to listen to a god is like me calling you a liar and only a christian because you just want eternal bliss.

I agree that I don't believe Jesus will stay on this earth 1000 years but I do believe that Satan will be bound/chained to this earth with no one to tempt during those 1000 years while the righteous and Jesus are up in heaven during that period.

Well, to say that nothing in the Bible happened whatsoever, would be like saying Julius Caesar never existed, or "insert any other ancient historical event here" never happened.

it is one thing for you to believe there is no God, but man do you ever have an uphill battle if you want to take the stance that nothing in the Bible happened at all! Goodness, that means Josephus was a liar, Tactitus and other secular historians were all liars when they spoke of Things happening in the Bible.

Even athiests acknowledge there to be some truth in myths (which you see the Bible as a myth) and yet you want to say there is no truth on the Bible at all? Hah your comments just blow my mind sometimes.

I agree, I do believe that Satan will be or was locked up for this period of time. If Satan has been locked up (and unable to deceive) at any point in our history, I don't know when that would have been. I do not think that just because "bad" things happen that Satan is involved, but I do think that when people are evil that Satan is usually involved. I think people are capable of evil without Satan pushing them into it. I am reluctant to say it, but I have thought the dark ages are a possible time, but would not push this idea either, as I am far from being confident in it. I have heard that the Dark Ages was time art, literature, etc. was rare to non-existent.

I know what you mean I have been called a demon and condemned to hell at times so I get it. My outlook is that we just agree to disagree sometimes. I don't want to condemn someone just because we don't think the same way all of the time. But I believe it was deepthought that was asking about a bible prophecy and that is why I posted the Daniel statue about the kingdoms down until Jesus returns. A past, present and future prophecy.

My thoughts on the dark ages is more of one where it was a difficult time to spread or teach bible truth. God's truth kinda went underground for a while people being killed and persecuted and such.

I'm not saying the entire bible is fabricated but I believe the supernatural elements are most certainly fabricated.

The claim that nothing in the Bible ever happened is indeed ridiculous, but in the context of his post I think he was only referring to the crucifixion, burial and resurrection story spoken of in the gospels.

That is a credible hypothesis around some biblical scholars, "The jesus myth" theory if you like.
Its mostly based on the idea that other than the gospels written well after 60 or 70 AD there is no actual historical account of the historical life of jesus. The few passages in Josepheus have been deemed a later forgery by many scholars. Another reason is that the writings of Paul which were written before the gospels mention nothing of his actual life or any details of his death and resurrection. Paul simply declares it to be true, some think that this is synonymous with a "spiritual" death and resurrection portrayed by other demi-gods of that time period.(Osiris)

Daniel not only predicted Christ's crucifixion down to the day but Isaiah predicted a method that wasn't even in use yet. Just two of many many examples of the supernatural at work. There are frankly too many examples to list here in regards to the absolutely awe inspiring accuracy in a book written by some 40 mostly unknown to each other people....which by the way said the very same things and pointed to the very same person in the embodiment of Christ. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it will be open to you. Christ was and is real. And is risen. Think about it this way. If he didn't we should all just meet for potluck on Sunday and talk about football. Christianity is the only religious doctrine that completely rests on the implausible fact that Jesus rose from being DEAD.

Negatives are proved in court all the time...either based on the evidence or the lack of evidence. The evidence for a risen Christ is too numerous to discount without proper investigation. I think it is great that you are here challenging yourself as well as all of us. God thinks its great you are here questioning. Christianity is not only a blind leap faith... It is also an intellectual mans endeavor. That's the beauty of it .... It is simple yet it's complexity is astoundingly beautiful.

Okay I'll give you one piece of evidence..... The assertion that Jesus was an alien (which btw is a theory put forth by antichristian theorists) and lived and died on this earth cannot be disproven by any means. All the others including it was a myth , Jesus had a twin, he faked his death, the apostles made it up etc can be disproven simply by the lack of evidence....ie writings or historical records to the contrary of his life, death resurrection. Not to mention that if it's the concoction of a group of men they sure made themselves look like a stupid bunch of dolts. I find that very hard to swallow. If I made something up I would at least try to make myself look kinda good.

It is evidence. It is eyewitness evidence. (Which btw is used all the time) It is logically reasoned evidence. It brings into account all aspects of human nature into the picture. It is simply impossible to discount unless one simply takes at face value that a bunch of poor fishermen tax collectors doctor concocted an outrageous claim that some carpenter rose from the dead.
