Is Physical Attraction Important ?

9th grade, i met a guy in one of my classes. i didn't really talk to him.

11th grade - he and i became good friends. super smart and super funny. all of a sudden, i started liking him. it wasn't until then i found him attractive. before, he was just a guy in class. i didn't find him unattractive, but i wasn't attracted to him until junior year of high school. (he only saw me as a friend though lol)

idk if this happens more with girls than guys, but sometimes (initially) there isn't a physical attraction until one gets to know the other.

Well I do believe that (at least in my opinion) it would be hard to marry a person and have kids with a person that looks like ...

So I am attracted to the sense of humor and personality before the physical attributes. Now if they have the physical attributes its a bonus to me. In fact my friends will tell you I am always dating men who they say are beneath me in the physical attraction scale. Which I don't see...but AGAIN that is far from what I look at. Most of the men who are high on the physical attribute scale are dumber than a box of matches and therefore cannot ignite anything in me.
 
Don't forget... Angelina Jolie was married to Billy Bob Thornton.

first day of school, i saw my classmate and thought to myself, "oh he's really cute!"

a couple of days later, i heard him cuss. i thought to myself, "oh nevermind. he's not a christian"

i was 6 yrs old. 6!!!! bahahaha.

at that age, i believed cussing was a big no-no, and obviously, in hearing him cuss meant i shouldn't be interested. i no longer found him cute. hahahahaha.

Why is wit attractive? And stupidity such a turnoff? Although I feel stupid sometimes when I dont feel like using my brains but plain stupidity is irritating. But others don't seem to mind it as long as the person looks attractive.
