It was quite common for Protestant Christians to believe that Michael was the pre-incarnate Christ.

Just my opinion, the lack of unity in the denominations is what has driven my desire to study hard and to know God more. The whole disagreement about Trinitarianism seems ludicrous to me. I wonder if they would stone each other to death?
I was involved in Mormonism for several years, mainly because the members I knew were so loving. I kept many of my private beliefs next to my heart. Polygamy was odd and there are lots of reasons they used it. As for me, marriage at my age is a not likely. I don't really care to get drawn into a lengthy discussion about them.
Briefly; early Mormons were taught that Jews fled Jerusalem around 400 BC and somehow got to the Americas by boat. For me, there are lots of holes in their subsequent story. The Book of Mormon is supposed to be the story of those immigrants. Somehow in the middle 1800s they instituted polygamy, and it continued openly until around 1890. It still exists today in splinter groups but not accepted by the main church. They are non-trinitarians, and I retain that belief. The leadership in Salt Lake City is sort of their "Pope". I don't ridicule them. I encountered them when was at a real low point and their love and support prevented a suicide. I don't consider myself Mormon but am independently a very odd Christian.
The Bible stands or falls as a whole. One cannot accept the Gospels and then disrespect the rest of the NT. As to Islam and the Quran, you are more than welcome to follow the false prophet Muhammad and his corruption of the Bible (which is at the same time an attack on the Gospel of Christ). By the same token your opinions have little value for Christians, who regard the Bible exclusively as the Word of God.

And you find Trinitarianism ludicrous? I wonder why Mormons went around massacring people? And you also think "Islam" is valid option where everybody is killing each other in the name of religion. The translators of the KJV believed that Jesus appears in the OT. There is one instance of the capitalized "Son of God" in reference to a being that appeared in a furnace. This capitalization isn't included in many translations, but it shows that the conversation about OT Jesus appearances (in transfigured form) has been going on for a long time.
Whether it is the case or not, it is an interesting topic either way.
Resisting anger with you, I refer you to God for judgment of others. Pull up your pants and be judged by Him. If you intend to judge me, you will have to get in line because my sins are many. I have not advocated for the Mormons. I only said that I spent time with them. I said I am non Denominational. How much more clear can I be?
I have many regrets and have repented of what I can, but there are some that I have no idea how to repent of...
Denominations are man-made and should be avoided. I also do not label myself with a silly denomination, nor do I accept any religions. It's all man-made.
I love God and Jesus the Christ. I have failed often and sometimes in spectacular ways. I know what it is to seek forgiveness from others and not get it. I have accusers in my life and hopefully that keeps me humble.
