Dancing may be alright,
but I'm pretty sure that using this many commas in one paragraph is a sin.

I think that it entirely depends on what type of dancing your talking about. There are numerous examples of joyfull dancing in the Bible being a form of worship. But with that being said some people take dancing to a completely different level such as grinding and I believe that this can definitely contribute to lust. Ecclesiastes 3 tells us there is a time for dancing but also a time to be silent. I think deep down you know whether or not your dancing is wrong. You just have to trust God and your instincts.

I think this is a good point. You shouldn't be doing anything that you don't want to be in the middle of if Jesus Were to come back at that very moment. So the question becomes if Jesus was standing right in front of you would you grind on a stranger? Remember God is omnipresent.

I think it depends on the intent really. Like grinding and all that booty dancing, no.

I love things like swing dancing, the electric slide, dance dance revolution games, all that stuff. It's not with the intent of impressing anybody or anything, it's just for fun.

I think slow dancing is very appropriate and sweet, but again it can be done very badly. No butt grabbing, you know?

not all dancing is a sin not all dancing is good. I love to dance and I do a lot of dancing. but what my mom said to me it how you dance.

I agree we must not take the dogmas of certain denominations (sects really) as scripture.

Dancing is not sinful at unless you're dancing in a worldly and secular way because dancing is part of worship and God loves worship and Satan of course loves to corrupt good things. It's like wearing clothes there is nothing wrong with wearing skirts and dress and so forth but when you decide to wear one that's super tight and revealing almost little to nothing and it causes other men to lust and fall then it becomes a problem

This is a debate that goes on in my school all the time. I go to a private Christian school where some kids are very conservative, some aren't even Christian (only a few people are like this), and some are a little more liberal. Anyways, some people think that dancing is a sin because it creates lust. Others think dancing can be a way to worship God. I personally am undecided. I agree, dancing can create lust. But if you do APPROPRIATE dance moves, you're showcasing the talent God gave you. Ugh, I can't make up my mind.

my Lord really no way is it sinful to dance.. Watching someone drink from a drinking fountain can create lust almost anything can create lust in ones mind. That's the point if one is going to lust it can happen with anything from eating a banana to bending over to tie ones shoe really lol.. People don't see it's not the action it's the thought in the mind.
