Why would that take time away from witnessing? That's good. Because I would hate to think that a preoccupation with dispensationalism would take time away from your witnessing to non-believers.

And do you believe that animal sacrifices are still required?
That is a mistranslation of what Peter said
some simple study would reveal this
petwr did not tell anyone getting baptised in water would give them remission of sin
Yes believe. Believe what ?
The good news of the kingdom. The
For Israel to recieve their messiah, to rule and reign
And do you believe that animal sacrifices are still required?[/QUOTEl
That should have been good news to them . What we believe will happen after the tribulation, They had that offered to them then.If you believe that to be the gospel Jesus taught. what did that mean?
If you believe that to be the gospel Jesus taught. what did that mean?
It makes a huge difference. If he said we must be baptized. It makes it one Gospel. If he did not say it. Many are following a different gospel.Does it make a difference if Peter said it or...?....said it?
Aren't we concerned with what the Bile says...?
yeah, Would they have been saved by that Gospel? (eternally?)If you believe that to be the gospel Jesus taught. what did that mean?
Its saying that they would recieve the Holy Spirit if they were baptised . This is not how we are saved however . Peter is instructing those Jews ( Israel ) what they had to do .That is a mistranslation of what Peter said
some simple study would reveal this
petwr did not tell anyone getting baptised in water would give them remission of sin
it says no such thingIts saying that they would recieve the Holy Spirit if they were baptised . This is not how we are saved however . Peter is instructing those Jews ( Israel ) what they had to do .
Peter in Acts 2 is saying to ' Israel ' ,after giving a long speech about how THEY "ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:"Peter did not proclaim a different gospel man, Jews do not need to get baptized while gentiles do not
jesus said the gospel Peter preached would first be to the Jew, then a
samaria then the ends of the earth, did you forget that fact
Yes i am aware of what the greek game is and what certain scholars tell us when they dance around this text .it says no such thing
Again, if you would study the origional text. You would understand this
once again. The english translation of that text is flawed.Peter in Acts 2 is saying to ' Israel ' ,after giving a long speech about how THEY "ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:"
Then THEY
37¶Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
NOTICE the response is" WHAT MUST WE DO ".
Peter tells THEM ( NOT US )
38¶Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
This is not how we are saved today or anyone else than Israel who asked the question after Peter's speech.
We should be baptised but AFTER we recieve the Holy spirit as a figure of it . Not as they had to do ,which was to be baptised first.
There is no dancing. I have done what God told me to do and tested. And found it to be correct.Yes i am aware of what the greek game is and what certain scholars tell us when they dance around this text .
No oit says no such thing
Again, if you would study the origional text. You would understand this
Why is it flawed ? Whats wrong with Acts 2.38 as it says ? They don't ask what must we do to be SAVED . What about Acts 3 ? Again its Israel Peter is addressing . Notice :once again. The english translation of that text is flawed.
If you do not want to find out what it says. thats fine.
There's 29 conversion accounts in Acts . I'm always suspicious when certain denominations pick one over the other .Even worse when they combine all together. There is no dancing. I have done what God told me to do and tested. And found it to be correct.
Peter did not tell everyone to be baptized. The word baptized and gift of the spirit are different forms. they are not related. Again if you do not wish to find out for yourself that is on you.
Peter did not give them a different gospel. You are in error in this manor.
its wrong because it is wrong. If it is wrong, it is wrong It does not matter what they asked. No o
Why is it flawed ? Whats wrong with Acts 2.38 as it says ? They don't ask what must we do to be SAVED . What about Acts 3 ? Again its Israel Peter is addressing . Notice :
14But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
15And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
What must they do ?
17¶And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
18But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
19Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
20And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
Is this also how we are saved today ?
Do we have to play the ' greek game ' here also ?
I am suspicion when one puts an english text over the greek. There's 29 conversion accounts in Acts . I'm always suspicious when certain denominations pick one over the other .Even worse when they combine all together.
Which greek ? And can God speak English?I am suspicion when one puts an english text over the greek.
It shows me he is not to be trusted.
we can look at the greek text. And see how a word is written.Which greek ? And can God speak English?
