@Ceph you bring up an interesting point, a favorite subject of mine: is it better to know or to not know?
I personally think that the Internet has been the worst thing for humanity in terms of bringing a war for the mind. Because our ancestors used to fight wars in the flesh.
With the internet, a crazy person can reach a large audience, wheres in my grandfather's time everyone knew who the village idiot was and treated him accordingly.
Now the village idiot goes online and reaches the whole world with his message.
What do you think about this? Is it better to know or not know?
This question arises when you compare the past to now.
Disease and war existed in the past but nobody had an iPhone during the plagues in Europe to TikTok millions dying.
Revisionist history doesn't help your argument.I wish I knew what was funny.
I did the resesarch and all I can tell is that written records became sparse for a while.
The term was coined by one man specifically because of this fact, and his distain for Christianity.
There were some wars, but no evidence that people evrywhere lived terrible lives.
During the time some empires even thrived, and art and architecture still evolved.
Revisionist history doesn't help your argument.
I didn't see a path forward to agreement. Have a great day.I don't intend to argue, because I'd rather be content with all the brothers I'll be dwelling with than risk getting put to shame on judgment day.
I'm merely stating the reason for my point of view, and if you have something to support your case, you aught to share it so that we can both come to an agreement.
