Maybe it is a fruit that we will only see on the trees in the new heaven , when all is restored back to the likeness of Eden...

Im not out to offend im just trying to get Christians views on this because there is alot of controversy. I was reading yalls posts talking to seventh day adventist Christian and he believes he is still to keep seventh day Sabbath in gods commandment to Israel which god said is a covenant for all their generations for ever. His case is that we are all one body of Christ so are we not of same covenant.

David is talking about all of the law in Psalm 1. he's not only talking about the 10 commandments - he's talking about the arbitrary distinctions humans made thousands of years later, {ceremonial, moral, civil}, as though it is not divided at all, but all one law. he doesn't say "i delight in the moral aspects of the inflated law of the Lord of which only 3% are actually important" -- he says, "the law"

a fun exercise is to read the NT & list the commandments Jesus actually gave. every imperative statement, which in context He gives to people who believe He is God.

he named her Woman, because she was taken out of man. she is made of him.

when he heard the promise of redemption & salvation God made in cursing Satan, he changed his wife's name from Woman to Eve - Mother of all Living, because he understood. at this, God covered them both with the work of His own hands, and declared that Adam had become like one of "The Us" -- like one of the persons of God.

it may be more precise to say, Woman is a part of Adam; Eve is a part of the redeemed man. :)

how many days did this take -- what day did it occur on?
was Adam only 2 days old when he did this?

how long was Adam in "a deep sleep" ?

in Christ God has set us free from all condemnation, if we walk in Him. God's righteousness doesn't change - righteousness is righteousness - so what is good in His sight is still what is good in His sight. but i don't live now trying not to commit adultery or covet 'because a commandment says i shouldn't' but because both of those things remain wrong whether there is a letter engraved in stone saying so or not. because doing those things is contrary to love, to the way that He loved us.

i'm sorry i wasn't more gentle in our previous conversation; i should be. i've been on this forum for several years now and as you might imagine, the same topics and arguments come up frequently. sometimes i read them and forget that it's not actually the same people i've discussed all this with over and over, but new people i haven't met before -- so i act like we've already been through all this 100 times but in reality we've not lol

essentially my position is this: we have died, and our lives are hid in Christ. being dead, not one jot or tittle of the law ((the whole law)) has to pass away in order for it not to have any more jurisdiction over us. the power of sin is the law -- but the law has no more power over us; sin has no more power over us to be our master or to condemn us.
this doesn't mean we should freely live our lives in contradiction to the righteousness described in the law, but it does mean that we're not under these commandments. what we are commanded, is to follow Him, walking in love, humbly, loving mercy and justice. the essential qualities of mercy and justice and goodness haven't changed, but the priesthood, the law, all these things have passed away, being replaced by a new and better covenant -- which is the unfolding of the promises to Abraham through faith, not the distillation of the covenant made with Israel under Moses.

I see the truth in alot of what you said and you have to understand where im coming from the reason there are so many offshoots of Christianity is because there are so many false doctrines so I listen to as many pastors and denominations as I can that teach strictly from Gods word as supreme authority so I can know the truth and not be deceived by the enemy's lies. I think one of the things the enemy is hardest at work is trying to infuse lies into gospel. I've only been studying word for about seven years so I have alot to learn but just because someone tries to pass there ideologies off to me as truth I am leary for every truth there is sure to be a false truth.
