I sure will pray for you. I will ask Him to comfort you and give you strength and wisdom. Do remember though, God has promised: "Everything works for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose." This even includes the things that seem unbearable at the time. God knows the plan and we don't. Hang in there my friend. Even this will work out for your good and God's glory. You will see. This is His promise, not a trite platitude. Try to rest in this truth and I will certainly pray for you and your family.

My Health is failing, I need to see her and have things right between us. Ive had anxiety and panic attacks the last few days, those include some severe spasming, passing out and chest pain. i want things right with my daughter, before I die. Ive often felt God being God does not need glory, just like when I do things for my child, a simple smile is all that I need at times, I do things for her out of the great love for her not for any return from it. Ive been praying for a very long time and my prayers havent been answered, I used to get prayers answered rather quickly, at times even before I asked for them, then all of a sudden nothing, I feel abandoned. I dont know why, I havent changed .

Thank you for your prayers and your belief, God Bless You and Yours

The thing is that God always answers prayers. Sometimes the answer to our request is "no." Sometimes it is "yes" and very often, it is "wait, I am working a plan." God has the answers. He knows our needs better than we do. He is trying to build a faith in us that realizes that. I learned this through years of grief, trouble upon trouble and learning to submit to His plan for me. There is a passage in Habakkuk, that goes like this: Though the fig tree doesn't blossom and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the field produces no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior."
This is the kind of faith God is after. It is a faith that knows that there are hard times on this earth, but nevertheless, we have the greatest prize that a person could ask for: God Himself. When He has grown your faith to this extent, there will be no more anxiety and panic attacks. You will be comforted. Take it from one who has been there and done that. I am praying for you to rest in Him and leave the circumstances of your life in His hands. There is no freedom like it. I hate for you to have to go through years learning this like I did. Know peace now and give your cares into His capable hands. Who knows what He is trying to accomplish in your daughter and wife's life as well as yours. And yes, God has glory, but Jesus made it clear that He came to glorify God and we are also to glorify Him with our faith and good works. Be assured, you are not abandoned. Remember, He promised never to leave us or forsake us. You can take that to the bank, my friend.

Id like something tangible, instead of not hearing anything, I used to have any of the 3 answers, now Im getting nothing. God was the one thing that kept my sanity, I need a sign one way or another, because Im slipping mentally,my life and higher purpose are gone from me. Do you have children? Are they ill mentally? if you have children, Please tell me what youd feel like not being able to help them? Would you rejoice? As I said God doesnt need glory, he can do whatever he likes, he doesnt need a pat on the back. I would think Glory would be found in that he did something good for 2 people that need him so desperately.

Oh believe me, I do understand. I have been that desperate. Yes, I have 6 children. My oldest is mentally ill and struggles. I raised them alone after my husband died when we were young. You are doing and saying the things that I did and said and believed and demanded of God. I felt the same panic and anxiety that you are describing. It took God years to "mold and prune" me into the person that I needed to be. He is still working on me because I surely haven't arrived yet, but I trust Him now. I know He is good. I know that He knows the plan and I don't and I love Him for all that He has done for me. I want you to be able to trust and rest in His love. Your heart sounds so much like mine did and I really suffered.

The thing that I am trying to help you understand is that He IS doing something good for you and your daughter. Stop and reflect on Mary and Martha when Lazarus was sick and finally died. They were desperate for Jesus to come and heal him. Everyone knew that Jesus could heal the sick, but Jesus didn't come until he had been dead for 4 days. He didn't even send word to them. Can you imagine how they felt? Probably a lot like you do and I did. What happened with all of this though? Lazarus was raised from the dead. Mary and Martha had new, intimate knowledge that Jesus was the resurrection and the life. Hundreds of people, friends, family, and acquaintances learned that Jesus had power over life and death. This was for everyone's good. Many people believed because of this. We have this promise "All things work for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose."

I hope he hurries, Im falling apart and am not in the best of health. 4 days would be a cool breeze compared to the last 4 months.

Im losing faith and hope and becoming bitter, where as before I was at peace with God and had much hope and faith. I dont have years before me, Im 63, in poor health and it is getting worse daily. At least you had your family with you.

I don't think you are understanding what I am trying to explain to you. Peace with God does not depend on your circumstances. Your words show that you are not abiding in God and resting in Him. You are wrestling with Him. It is like when He told Saul of Tarsus "It is hard for you to kick against the goads." Faith is a gift, but it is also a choice.
What will it accomplish if you fight with God over His sovereignty for the rest of your life? What will it do for you if you give up your faith? What kind of life will you have if it is bitter. How does it benefit you if you compare your hard times to other people's lives? God tells us to "choose life."
We can't control our path or tell God what kind of life to give us here on earth. He is God. He does not answer to us. This is the lesson that Job learned. This life is where we make our choices that impact eternity. I am praying that you choose well and know the joy that comes with being in loving relationship with God. This is the only thing that brings real and lasting joy even in the midst of our difficult circumstances.
I am really feeling for you, but I am also seeing you make the same mistake that I did for years. I am praying that you don't waste any more time. If you are "losing faith, hope, and becoming bitter, then you are not in a right relationship with God. You can take care of that with Him right now.

Soc1, you're wrestling with God when you know that he'll move mountains to get to you. You have to completely trust God. It hurts and its difficult, but you have to make up in your mind that you're going to believe him. He has never failed you. What makes you think he'll start now?

What I ask for is far less effort than moving a mountain,Im not wrestling with God, that dont worry be happy nonsense, could all be taken care of easily. Why give us worries, just to say be happy with your suffering??? Seems to me there is something like that in the Bible about which of us as father's would give something bad to our children, when asked for something else or help?

you arent explaining anything to me, you are not conveying much, you are just throwing random quotes learned by rote at me. That doesnt help in the least.

It sounds as if you are just getting angry with me and I am just trying to show you the wonderful, freeing power of what I have learned by experience and through application of Scripture, not rote. I do not want to argue with you and I will certainly continue to pray for you. I hope that you find that "peace that passes all understanding."

You know, I was remiss in that last post. I need to remind you that God already has given you something good, in fact the best gift of love that He had in His possession. He gave you His only Son, Jesus, who gave His life for you. What better gift can there possibly be than that? See, He DOES love you and wants the best for you.
