The thing is that God always answers prayers. Sometimes the answer to our request is "no." Sometimes it is "yes" and very often, it is "wait, I am working a plan." God has the answers. He knows our needs better than we do. He is trying to build a faith in us that realizes that. I learned this through years of grief, trouble upon trouble and learning to submit to His plan for me. There is a passage in Habakkuk, that goes like this: Though the fig tree doesn't blossom and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the field produces no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior."
This is the kind of faith God is after. It is a faith that knows that there are hard times on this earth, but nevertheless, we have the greatest prize that a person could ask for: God Himself. When He has grown your faith to this extent, there will be no more anxiety and panic attacks. You will be comforted. Take it from one who has been there and done that. I am praying for you to rest in Him and leave the circumstances of your life in His hands. There is no freedom like it. I hate for you to have to go through years learning this like I did. Know peace now and give your cares into His capable hands. Who knows what He is trying to accomplish in your daughter and wife's life as well as yours. And yes, God has glory, but Jesus made it clear that He came to glorify God and we are also to glorify Him with our faith and good works. Be assured, you are not abandoned. Remember, He promised never to leave us or forsake us. You can take that to the bank, my friend.
