What about alaska. I heard nobody there has to pay taxes, and can be beautiful in its own way. Bit cold tho.
Do people dream about going there?

what was it called by the natives before it was called america?
Before the Americus Vespucci mapping, the people of that land mostly called it, the land, or a lingual equivalent.

The north American tribes, as they have been designated, had several coalitions of tribes on the East Coast, in the Midwest, and far West which were quite effective, but after the move of Europeans and others, they became forgotten and the natives of the lands were oft times rreferred to as savages...not always true, especially in view of their disinheritance of their own land and displacemtne..

In fact I moved back to OC, CA. For better health coverage availability than I could afford in Lawton OK.
Too many parallels here. I was in the USAF at Altus AFB, have family at one time or another in El Reno and Ardmore. Also family in Anaheim, and other OC towns, now moved away or deceased. Too many coincidences here young Calibob.

That state should've already broken off. It's past due. Why try to "save" a state that could disappear any day now?

And taxes are high because CA has many very expensive areas in it. Which drives wealthier people to it. So you better plan on being rich. Or poor. Not much in-between.

Then again Christians aren't sent to save states but people I thought. And doubtful the country will survive long enough to see the state "fixed" if it doesn't fall off first.

Aw nonsense. If it breaks away  it will only be the part from Baja northwest to the Golden Gate. Humboldt will still be safe. o_O:love::cool:

I don't think that it was called Land of the Free and Home of the Brave back in the day. They did have Braves though, I believe that they were based in what is now known as Atlanta.

I flunked out of avionics (couldn't learn to do binary algebra within the time limits). They made me Air Police instead.

The nomenclature of the SSB transceiver should read SSB KWT6, sorry.

I was sitting here thinking, military police. That is great. Better than what I was up to..
It was mostly boring. Guys like me were sent there for punishment. We/I mostly guarded missles', Atlas & Minute Mans'. Titans were the last for me. (Before K-9 that is.)

I did get to see a couple of satellite launches however. They were fun and exciting. (For less than a minute)

Another similarity. My duties were at a SSB station but added to that was an office in the HQ building, making up SSB study programs for the twelve Atlas F missile sites around the base, and making up classroom instruction and giving classroom instruction for the missile crews.

Actually I had many more duties I found myself going to bed only to awake with on shoe off and me still exhausted. It was not a pretty ending for me, but I did enjoy doing lots of stuff, like being the one part of the time to cancel B-52 and KC-135 missions, mock missions, to bomb, nuke, various targets. In retrospect it reminds me of Dr. Strangelove.

Boring? An understatement if you reefer to the time spent,. I was pretty much not into it either. I even volunteered for counter insurgence in order to get away, but my position stateside was considered critical, cuhh, A lot they know, and knew... God bless you and you did a lot more than I did if you were an AF Pliceman. Thak you for keeping us legal.

My only experience there was seeing the Atlas F misiles in their silos with th metal skiins sagging from sitting so long...would you believe?

By the way I volunteered for count insurgence with the stipulation I was to be a rdion operator and not a full-fledged Green Beret. I was a pacifist from the git go.
