There is no verse that says that. God alone is immortal. Scripture does say that. But then God made us with immortal souls
When the GWT judgement arrives, those who rejected the Lord will go to the Lake of Fire. Notice that
it's the souls that go there for all the rest of forever - they're not given immortal bodies - that's only
for us who are in Christ. So it's their bodies that perish or are utterly destroyed - not their souls.
There is no verse that says that. God alone is immortal. Scripture does say that.
I did say that God is eternal, not just immortal. Eternal means God has no beginning and no ending.
Immortal though, means having a beginning and no ending. When God breathed into us and
gave us souls - our souls have a beginning but no ending because God imparted that to us.

There is no verse that says that.
There are very few verses that say anything like that, and most of the few are from a highly symbolic bookThe verses about the unsaved being forever punished show that we have souls that go on beyond
this age into forever. That's why those verses exist in the Bible. We can't just ignore them.
The wording comes from ScriptureIt's a nice picture and I really like it, but the wording isn't accurate. All verses must be considered, not just the ones that support your view.
Scripture does say that God alone is immortal. There are no verse for "trinity" and "rapture" either. But you can still see those things exist in the Bible.
Just like with the immortal soul that is described in the verses that talk about perpetual punishment.
As I had said before, you can't just ignore those verses. If the Bible has both types
of verses, that means they are meant to be understood as a cohesive whole.
The wage of sin is death,There are very few verses that say anything like that, and most of the few are from a highly symbolic book
written in apocalyptic language. Often the parable of Lazarus and the rich man is trotted out as something
that is literal and denied as being a parable because it names real people, and there is a man-made tradition
that says, since it names real people, it cannot be a parable, even though it is placed in a chapter/series of
parable after parable. Scripture explicitly states that Jesus only taught in parables. That gets ignored.
The dead know nothing. That gets ignored. Death many many many times is given
as the wages of sin but that gets ignored and replaced with eternal conscious torment.
The worm feeds on the dead. If it never dies, the implication is that it continues to feed.
Yes, dead means alive to some. And Scripture says we are dead to God unless born again. The wage of sin is death,
The gift of God is life
For those who reject the wage of sin. They will continue to live in death, and actually suffer the second death.. from which there is no escape
Immortality is put on through faith in Christ alone.
Since the dead know nothing, which is explicitly stated in Scripture, they are not in eternal torment. But notice these bodies are dead - not immortal like the bodies the Lord will give us who are saved. Notice that the immortal bodies the Lord will give us will continue to let us live and do stuff. The dead bodies that the unsaved have don't sound functional at all, but perpetually decaying. Hence why the worm can feed on them for the rest of forever.
Death is a separationYes, dead means alive to some. And Scripture says we are dead to God unless born again.
Immortality (life ever after) is conditioned upon grace through faith in the shed righteous blood of Jesus Christ. So then why is there "conditional immortality" so God gives immortality for just a bit just so He can make them no longer exist?
The wording comes from ScriptureOkay, so the dead know nothing. Square that with eternal consciousness.
Scripture does say that God alone is immortal.
I will stick with that
It seems you say, don't ignore Scripture, don't ignore Scripture, don't ignore Scripture, while you ignore that.
Immortality (life ever after) is conditioned upon grace through faith in the shed righteous blood of Jesus Christ.
I have stated this multiple times, and it it a plain teaching of Scripture, as you ought to know.
