I find it interesting that with the promise in Genesis that the descendants of Japheth would dwell in the house of Shem, The Greeks came against the house of Shem. During the time of Alexander the Great, the Greeks did not destroy the temple and recognized the GOD of Israel. During the time of The Maccabees The Greeks tried to erase The beliefs and spiritual practices of the Jewish people.
