The point is, even with your view, the man clearly feels he has to disclose and talk about his being attracted to men. That was why I wrote the post you just replied to. Sc81 said the OP had no need to disclose that he is attracted to men, and I felt that he did in fact have a reason because many Christians say that simply being attracted to the same sex is a sin (which, biblically, isn't true). Mere attraction to the opposite sex or the same sex also isn't the same thing as 'lust'.
The point I'd like to settle for the man is that being attracted to the same sex is no sin in and of itself, and yes, he did need to disclose it (or so he felt) as so many Christians incite that attraction to the same sex is as bad as sleeping with thesame sex. The practical advice for the OP (from a biblical perspetive) therefore seems to be; it's okay to be attracted to the same sex as long as you don't act on it nor let it get as intense as lust.
