Are you a Christian?

Christians are joint heirs with Christ Jesus.
I was talking about the keys to the gates of hell. And you claimed that you have them too because Jesus shares them with you. I might assume you are talking about the keys to the kingdom, if it weren't for outlandish claims being common enough in these forums that making logical assumptions aren't also as accurate as you might think they should be.

How do you know YOU aren't the one that God is going to spank on judgement day?

I rebelled against God when I was young in Christ and He severely chastised me for a long time.

I don't ever want to go through that again. So I listen to Him now and submit to His Lordship.

I read in the bible where I'm joint heirs with Christ Jesus.

He's certainly got the keys and He lets me use them.

Like I read one guy says when reading some of the posts here, it's a good thing your opinion doesn't matter since you aren't Jesus!

So what kind of sinful things are you deciding to do?

The only thing some have questioned in my life is whether me and my girlfriend are married or not in God's eyes since we never got a marriage license from our state

Several people has responded saying we are not actually in sin since we are in a committed relationship so it sounds like I'm not actually in sin after all.

I hope the best for you. I hope you will not take for granted this grace given you by God for you, no harm to anyone else
There are those that take this grace given for granted as noted to the Corinthians from Paul about harming anyone else. the grace of God given freely was never meant to be taken for granted and continue to harm others. Even to those that have done wrong to others, whether on purpose or not
I am trusting God for it all the both of y'all, as well as for everyone else too.
For God continues to just love us all. I am an example of this amazing grace given, as I hear back from you, you got this. So I trust God to come through for us all in risen Son where the new life of trust charity love resides for us all to do naturally
Thank you

I'm hearing numerous preachers teach that all our futures sins are already forgiven

Is this why is doesn't matter if a christian lives in sin or not and once saved always saved in true?

My pastor tells me that the bible teaches there is nothing a christian can possibly do that would cause them to not go to heaven

And this seems to be the general consensus of many here after reading quite a few posts from others.

a born again Christian's sins are forgiven, past, present & future. Jesus did it all on the cross by dying for the forgiveness of our sins. it never means that a Christian will stop sinning. Christians do not want to sin but they may, possibly because of a current bad time however they will be convicted by the Holy Spirit, will recognize that & use it as an opportunity to grow in grace by removing such sins. it's a constant growth period for Christians. & know that Romans 8:28- 'and we know all things work together for good......"is a lesson on this.

a born again Christian's sins are forgiven, past, present & future.

My coworker who is telling me once saved always saved in not true told me to ask you if it's OK for christians to go ahead and live in sin since all future sins are already forgiven

I can see his point. If it's true that all future sins are forgiven then it doesn't matter if a christian lives in sin or not since all future sins are forgiven

Is this is why some many christians are living in sin now because they think all future sins are forgiven?

your co-worker is incorrect. read verses John 10:28-, ETERNAL life, NEVER perish, John 3:36- hath EVERLASTING life, hebrews 5:9- author of ETERNAL salvation & 1st John 5:13, the best verse explaining eternal salvation- that you may KNOW you have ETERNAL life. it is NEVER okay to live in sin. bon again Christians will not desire to sin, have the Holy Spirit living inside of them for life, leading teaching, counseling & guiding the believer to a Godly life. we can never stop sinning but the reduction in a sinful life decreases immensely. know that it isn't only acting out a sin that is sin, you can also sin by thinking about sin like being vengeful to someone, or thinking lustfully & your speech can be sin laden. cuss words, lying, gossip, etc. nompoinh to be sin. the Bible says for he to doeth right & doeth it not, it is sin. a born again Christian's life is regenerated in Jesus. he or she will know not to sin, will not continually sin & will always be growing

Jaywalker, your co-worker is incorrect. learn verses John 10:28, Hebrews 5:9, John 3:36 & the best one, 1st John 5:13. a born again Christian's life is regenerated in Jesu Christ. regeneration is the work of God thru the Holy Spirit placing in one who has faith in Good, Jesus & the Holy Spirit, a new nature rooted in Jesus & all he's about. becoming born again instant & there H.S. instantly indwells you forever. the Bible says- "to him that knoweth to do right but does not, it is sin". habitual sin is not in the life of a born again believer, impossible. if we could sin all we want because we believe all sins are forgiven, what's the sense in becoming born again? no sense at all. so called Christians living in sin are not Christians, there is no change, no regeneration in Jesus. learn Titus 3:5.

They will say, people who claim to christians but continue to sin were never really Christians in the first place. They'll say you won't want to sin if you're a true Christian. Ask any Christian if they still sin. What what happens.

You should probably read the "Hyper-Grace" thread under the Bible Discussion Forum. I'd say you're treading on dangerous ground.

it is NEVER okay to live in sin
we can never stop sinning

But if you did live in sin it's all good because all our future sins are already forgiven.

That's the message I'm hearing.

Yes, I can tell something is messed about about all this.

Some people seem to be playing on both sides of the fence

I'd say you're treading on dangerous ground.

I'm on dangerous ground for asking questions?

Are they going to send snipers out to wipe me out or something?

Did you read what I suggested, or are you just going to keep trolling?

If you don't want to answer any questions in this thread you are free to not participate are you not?

I think I saw the thread you speak of and it's nothing but a bunch of fighting back and forth.

I'm not going to waste time wading thru all that mess.

Yes, playing both sides of the fence is exactly right.

Yep, my coworker has given me a LOT of information about this.

I might have to quit being baptist and go join up with his church!

I'm trying to talk him in to joining the forum here because he can talk so mush better than I can about bible things

He says he doesn't like talk forums much because of all the arguing. I'll keep working on him.

If not I could always copy and paste from the emails he has sent me.

Can I say something? Raise your hand if you don't wanna hear from me? NO one.. awesome. Haha any one remember that song.. two guys in Church pastor says all heads bowed all eyes closed. Says raise your head if you.. it was for something. And you could hear the pastor say.. yes I see that hand.. yes I see your hand. The two guys looking around.. do you see any hands? I don't see anyone raising their hands. haha. sorry.. funny to me

I saw a post here where.. the question was asked yet.. just in Matt-John Christ spoke to this.. He answered it. To easy to search on your own .. today for sure.

Read Rom.. ask Him to open your eyes. Believing some "Christian" on this....you seek you study you find this. Your going to get different answers and then pick the you agree with. Read John 3:16-17 Rom 10:9-10. Read Luke 11:13. Do what He said period.

"it's OK for christians to go ahead and live in sin since all future sins are already forgiven". As God as my witness I have only hear this from believes that believe your not always saved. They some how heard or saw some Christian say this yet oddly cannot show this .. no examples what so ever. Then do you notice its freely willingly applied to all secure in their faith. No.. who is telling me I can just walk away leave God.. do some sin.. and He now cuts me off or blah blah blah. Its not GOD. Its one of His kids telling us what HE really said in His word and your understanding of it. duh your wrong.. I am right all the angels just rejoiced! To much? Just playing.

All my sins gone yes. Paul where sin abounds grace much more abounds..so we can sin all we want? God for bid he said. Rev 3 Christ talking to the Church.. not sinners repent. Oh yet all my sins are gone.. I am in right standing with God and there is as we know in our heart in our spirit no believer that wants to freely sin. Those that do....do not know Him or are babies in Christ or are not of us. Just stop lumping them together

Well the bible references my pastor has shown me do appear to confirm that once a person is saved they cannot possibly do anything that would cause them to not be saved.

I'm just telling you people what my pastor says and he seems to have bible references to back up his claim that once saved always saved is true and correct and that there is nothing a christian can do to cause himself to not go to heaven after getting born again

John gave this warning to the church, not a bunch of pagans:
[1Jo 5:21 KJV] 21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
