I'm hearing numerous preachers teach that all our futures sins are already forgiven

Is this why is doesn't matter if a christian lives in sin or not and once saved always saved in true?

My pastor tells me that the bible teaches there is nothing a christian can possibly do that would cause them to not go to heaven

And this seems to be the general consensus of many here after reading quite a few posts from others.

You should find a new pastor. You should also read the Bible for yourself and quit listening to what others tell you it teaches.

Notice how this all goes against what God is trying to teach us? You're pretty sharp.

Hope to see you with God in the end!

You will never know if they are right or wrong if you don’t read the Bible.

Well the bible references my pastor has shown me do appear to confirm that once a person is saved they cannot possibly do anything that would cause them to not be saved.

The troll is strong with this one.

I'm just telling you people what my pastor says and he seems to have bible references to back up his claim that once saved always saved is true and correct and that there is nothing a christian can do to cause himself to not go to heaven after getting born again

Once you are set free, do you keep trying to find the key to the lock on the door? Some people might. There are instances where an animal has been caged for so long that even after he's taken out of it, he keeps pacing the perimeters of his former prison as if the bars where still there.

Well I don't want to lose my keys.
You don't have the keys, or you would've been out at earliest convenience. However, you know who has(taken) the keys to hell and death (that's what had you imprisoned, that sin had bound you to. So, how can you lose them if you never had them in the first place. If you've been given any keys at all, they are the keys to the kingdom.

On judgement day, point out your pastor to me and we'll watch and hear what God does to him! 😁

When Jesus died on the cross for your sins, all of these sins were in the future. A true Christian may occasionally stumble and sin, but the Holy Spirit would convict this person of their sin and help to avoid sin in the future. It is part of the life-long repentance process. A true Christian may indeed sin, but will make the choice to not live in sin. Big difference.

I remember this very nice believer from Africa. Everything he shared sounded great of God. But over the years you learn to wait.. it can take years but the real person comes out. Just a taste it was no one knows if were saved or not till the end. And righteousness. Just reading things over the years.. never seen this part of some.

See the word of GOD does not say only our past sins are forgiven. If so we would have do to what was done in Romans. Well Paul (sweet holy Spirit really) told those Jewish believes after they sinned would try to go back and offer a sacrifice for that sin. They were told by GOD there is no more sacrifice for that sin Christ cannot die again. Some believe "if" which is org written you confess your sins He is faithful and just to forgive you your sins and cleans you from all unrighteousness. So you drop or lose this righteousness when you sin and then get it back after you repent? Some to believe "if" you have unconfessed sins you will not go to heaven. I can't find that in the word of God but praise God. I don't have to go to GOD reoffer Christ if I sin. Its the sin of the world, were talking sins.

Yes forgiven forever. Forever forever forever and free forever forever eternally ( yes a song lol). I know who 1st John written what 85-90 ad Heb 60-70 ad. Well ya gotta wonder what some did when they didn't have the NT to tell them ooh you better repent of else.. He lol sorry. I know who 1st John 1st Chapter was talking to. I read Rev Christ telling them "repent". We are forgiven forever but sin in this world still has a price and we cannot freely sin. I don't repent hoping this time maybe He really will forgive me.. He already has. He remembers it no more and there is no "if" there. John telling a group that believed Jesus was not the Messiah and they didn't have or do sin. So right off the bat John talks about Jesus....how real He was ...touched, heard, saw. Telling them if we say we have no sin we deceive our self's and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins He is faith and just to forgive us our sins. This is ME.. not telling you.... this is me

This sin I do .. not me its sin in me. Some do not understand the new man vs the old. We sit in heavenly places, we are citizens of heaven, you have been saved. Shall I go on? I repent because I love Him.. and sinning puts something between me and Him and gives Satan the right to do things in my life or pass me by and hits my family. Don't believe a word I say.. ask Him. He GOD lives in us.. He? the sweet sweet holy Spirit that leads and guides us.. never talks about Himself is in us with us forever. Why do so many not pray seek ask HIM.. hey I really have a hard time here... can you show me where its written about once saved.. or you can lose you salvation etc. But we don't. I do not ever struggle with this.

As for your pastor.. I don't know him don't know the rest of this.. that really matters. Yeah unless I reject Jesus Christ I can't find anything that says shows "if you a believer follower born from above do this you will not enter heaven". I don't know your heart. Who sins and never wants to tell GOD.. man sorry.. no guilt no judgement.. just loves us. Ask Him.. if I sin.. do you remember it are you holding it against me.. will I not enter heaven? For this we ask some "Christians" we don't know? Over our pastor? Over me? Don't believe me. Sorry but stop asking .. seek study pray you find this truth for your self. Oh I also will not talk down talk bad make fun of in anyway those that believe different. I am no better

Is this why is doesn't matter if a christian lives in sin or not and once saved always saved in true?

My pastor tells me that the bible teaches there is nothing a christian can possibly do that would cause them to not go to heaven

And this seems to be the general consensus of many here after reading quite a few posts from others.

Isa 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Rom 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

It is no different from the Old Testament or New Testament.

Our sins separate us from God whether we confess Christ or not.

In the Old Testament the Jews that were disobedient to God's commandments which is goodness were cut off.

In the New Testament it is the same if you do not continue in the goodness of God you will be cut off.

If it was required in the Old Testament how much more will it be required in the New when a Spirit led person has the power to abstain from sin.

God is not going to say sin if you want it is alright.

Heb 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Heb 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

Heb 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

Heb 3:11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Just like the disobedient Jews in the wilderness could not enter in to God's rest the saints who are disobedient will not enter in to God's rest.

Which is why the Bible warns the saints not to be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin which then they are being like the Jews in the wilderness.

Which they departed from the living God.

So sin does affect our relationship with God to no relationship.

But it can be corrected if a person acknowledges the truth and does likewise.

Luk 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

2Pe 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Luk 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Luk 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Again if a person is saved and goes back to the world enjoying sins they will not be saved.

And it would have been better if they did not know the truth than to depart from it.

But it can be corrected if a person acknowledges the truth and does likewise.

Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

This is saying if a person departs from the truth to believe an alternate reality whether becoming atheist, not claiming Jesus as Lord and Savior anymore, or embracing another religion they cannot be saved again.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.

2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The new age christianity that interprets the Bible according to the occult and evolution, and people are going to evolve to be spiritual, and greater, and Jesus became an ascended master among others, and there is no personal God, but they honor the God of forces the power of the Cosmos, and the New Age Christ is the next world teacher.

The time will come that people will not want to hear the truth of the Bible but want to hear it according to the new age.

Some people will depart from the faith and follow the new age christianity.

Which if they departed from the faith it had to be true faith when they claimed faith.

For if it was false faith how could they depart from the faith.

So a person can depart from the faith.

These people cannot be saved again for God will not allow it.

But new agers that did not accept the truth can be saved.

But if they go back to the new age they cannot be saved.

And there is a difference between doubt and embracing it.

Some might wonder about the new age after they were saved thinking it might be true but not commit to it.

If they stop wondering about it and believe it is not true they are alright.

But while they are wondering about it then it is sin.

Continued from above post

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

2Ti 3:4 lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Some people deny the Spirit leading them because they will not let go of the flesh.

And love sin more than God.

And do not come to the truth.

People that say faith alone and we cannot abstain from sin are sinning and holding on to sin.

So they do not come to the truth.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

If a person holds on to sin the blood of Christ cannot wash it away.

1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

1Co 9:26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
1Co 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Castaway
adokimos
ad-ok'-ee-mos
From G1 (as a negative particle) and G1384; unapproved, that is, rejected; by implication worthless (literally or morally): - castaway, rejected, reprobate.

2Ti 3:4 lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

OSAS a people that believe they can never fall away but are not in the truth.

Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

They just love that flesh and are operating in the flesh not becoming spiritual.

Mat 22:13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

God does the calling and choosing on earth.

If God chooses who will be saved in the beginning without their choice then why is He calling people that cannot be chosen.

1Ti 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

1Ti 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Joh 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

God wants all people to be saved so He is not choosing people not to be saved without their choice.

Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Luk 11:50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation.

God calls things that have not happened yet as already happened for if it is a plan of God to happen in the future it is the same as if it happened in the beginning for it will surely come to pass with no hinderance.

Predestination means that God already had the plan of salvation to give to mankind from the foundation of the world.

But this salvation is to all people for God wants all people to be saved.

Which the Spirit and bride say anybody can have that salvation.

The true bride would say salvation is available to all people.

Without the care to care in your heart to be given from Father God in risen Son to you, then you will not be saved in my honest opinion.
God is not tone mocked and that is what I hear you are doing,/ So sad have a blessed life thank you Gai. 6

I can do anything I choose. by God, I have gotten given the free choice to choose right over doin g wrong. Number 1 choice for me, to not take for granted this gift given, To see to not be a Pharisse Matthew 5:20 I do hope you have love in your heart to love people and not hate and harm for any self gain. Anyone in the process of this love of God given you to respond and not take for granted

love Charity to all from Father an dSon, thank you Lord, I trust you to teach me truth in love and mercy to all, no selfishness in the way anymore

Well the bible references my pastor has shown me do appear to confirm that once a person is saved they cannot possibly do anything that would cause them to not be saved.

I'm just telling you people what my pastor says and he seems to have bible references to back up his claim that once saved always saved is true and correct and that there is nothing a christian can do to cause himself to not go to heaven after getting born again
Did your pastor also tell you, that God writes what was once written in moral law in believers minds and places it on their hearts at conversion? Meaning, in a believers mind they know how God wants them to live and in their heart(not their flesh) they want to live that way. So, if they do not live as God desires they will be struck with a severe conscience. If a person believes they can act however they like and it does not matter for Jesus died for their sins, they have NOT(NOT) been born again of the Spirit. Those with the law in their hearts and minds cannot view it that way

So, how can you lose them if you never had them in the first place.

I read in the bible where I'm joint heirs with Christ Jesus.

He's certainly got the keys and He lets me use them.

On judgement day, point out your pastor to me and we'll watch and hear what God does to him!

How do you know YOU aren't the one that God is going to spank on judgement day?

you will not be saved in my honest opinion.

Like I read one guy says when reading some of the posts here, it's a good thing your opinion doesn't matter since you aren't Jesus!

I can do anything I choose

So what kind of sinful things are you deciding to do?

The only thing some have questioned in my life is whether me and my girlfriend are married or not in God's eyes since we never got a marriage license from our state

Several people has responded saying we are not actually in sin since we are in a committed relationship so it sounds like I'm not actually in sin after all.
