Paul said 'will be'; future tense. You shouldn't have a problem with that. That's simply taking God at his word
Paul said has been saved

eph 2: 8 have been saved (perfect tense)

romans 8 we were saved in this hope

1 tim 1: 9 who has saved us

titus 3. Not by good deeds we have done, but by his mercy he saved us

Yes......Faith in being convinced of something that is true. Faith isn't blind. Faith has an object that we know and are convinced of its truth.

We don't just wake up one day and have faith. Faith comes from a truth that we are convinced of......This may take days or years.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for. the evidence of things not seen

Paul's talking about the election that is of grace, not works

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Romans 11:5-6
what is he talking about here/

Being saved eternally.

or just some election

I really don't feel like spending the time going through these to check them.

No, I meant would you please explain in your own words what Paul meant in that one specific verse, not in a roundabout way with other verses
um, I used the other verses to get context.

you do not do this? You can not get the meaning of any verse by just plucking it out of the bible (the bible was not even written in verse form)

It says exactly what it says: the election is of grace
yes.

the election of any type in Gods way is of grace.

You deserve death. so anything you recieve is of Grace.

if your trying to work for it. You deny grace, reject it, and incure more debt (the wage of sin is death)

How many death sentences (sins) do you have in your lifte time

If you can't explain it then you're just avoiding it because it contradicts what you believe. Paul used saved in the future tense, ie you will be saved by doing such and such

My friend, I cannot tell you how many "Churches" that I was forced to depart from.
Some were such a joke that mere words cannot describe.

And guess what.....I know my God and my Bible better than EVER.
Far far more than I would have stuck in a brackish backwater wanna-be Church.
And my advice to you is: when you start getting the willies and your conscience is on high alert, just go and don't look back.

I credit Chronister for my freedom BTW. The man is an analytical genius. He actually "gets it".

And now.....so do I.
The rub is.....now I am quite aware that far too many others DO NOT.
Amen!

We have faith in many different things in life, people, things, concepts, do you think this is some extraordinary different type of faith?
To believe in Santa is a faith that children have and we are to be as children in our faith towards God.

I took it out of the passage. It is not my believe, it is what Paul said.. It concerns spiritual gifts. Not salvation (I even quoted the whole passage)
But Paul said it generally as people have the faith in order to believe.

Ephesians 2 says God comes to us and by our faith we believe. It doesn't say when God comes to us He gives us faith. It says we believe by faith meaning we have the faith already.
