prove JESUS filled you with the Holy Ghost.

Luke 11:13
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Mark 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Ball is in your court.

Let's see ya prove Jesus is a liar and the guy you responded to did not receive the Holy Spirit.

Since, I hope you can see that Paul is speaking to establish churchs after the book of Acts????

Which he did by teachings the Words of Jesus Christ. (see Luke 16:16)

It was Jesus continuing His teaching ministry thru Paul and other NT writers.

They did not preach some different Gospel other than the Gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus spoke of

Thank you for all of your wisdom.

I don't need a history lesson with your oppionons, and I agree John was sent for the Jews.

When John was baptizing I would agree it was a public display of the sort since being bapitzed in JESUS name didn't start until way after John was murdered in Acts 2 and they all had to be rebaptize.

I sure do agree that JESUS fullfilled all HE needed to.

Since, I hope you can see that Paul is speaking to establish churchs after the book of Acts????

Tell me what we have to do to be reborn USING HIS WORD.

How do we get rid of our sins?

How do we get filled with the Holy Ghost?

In answer to your questions.

Luke 11:9-10
So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.

It's all very simple.

Yeah, those with little revelation of what the New Testament teaches wouldn't.

That's one of the many ways we know so called once saved always saved teaching is doctrines of devils because they claim one can live in sin and still be saved and still go to Heaven.

The catholics do go by what scripture says so it's quite funny to hear any catholic tell someone to pay attention to what the L:eek:rd says in His Word. Quite funny in deed.

Your scripture reference does not say Paul baptized in Jesus Name only, you added that in.

Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost

Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him

What Peter said in Acts 2:38 is in relation to what is taught in Colossians 3:17 – if not, then Peter is in opposition to Jesus which is not the case because Peter was under the influence of the Holy Spirit who only speaks what He hears the Lord say (see John 16:13)

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

This is why many ministers when baptizing someone will say “In the Name of Jesus, I baptize you in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit”

Well we certainly know that catholic teaching is not authoritative seeing they sadly teach numerous doctrines that are not found in God's Word because catholics go by their pagan traditions that led them to idolatry

Yep to my reply, I don't think it's a good idea to group us all together.

Why are you answering for the flydove guy?

So just ask and your sins are goon??

Show me that in HIS word.

So just ask and JESUS fills you with the Holy Ghost? That could be true, has JESUS filled you?

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Here we go, answering questions without answering them leads to more questions.

Not so simple to me.

1 Cor. confirms what is revealed many times in relation to water baptism; the apostles consistently water baptized in the name of Jesus.

Peter, nor any of the others who water baptized people in the name of Jesus, was opposing Jesus command in Matthew 28:19. They were actually obeying His'command not repeating the command verbatim. The usage of the traditional phrase was begun by forerunners of the Roman Catholic church at the Nicean Council in 325AD. A simple search will reveal this. Sadly, those who adamently oppose many of Catholicism faulty teachings adhere to a practice that directly contradicts what Jesus taught His apostles. According to Colossians 2:9 the Godhead in fact dwells within Jesus. as such to baptize in the name of Jesus is to baptize in the NAME of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. There is no other name under heaven whereby all must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

Help for the scripturally inept.

John 4:10 The woman at the well: “If you knew… you would have asked, and He would have given you living water.”

Acts 2:21 “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 10:13 “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

John 7:37 “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”

James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God… and it will be given.”

James 4:2 “You have not because you ask not.”

Matthew 7:7–8 Ask, seek, knock and you will receive.

John 14:13–14 “Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it.”

John 15:7 “Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”

John 16:24 “Ask, and you will receive.”

Psalm 50:15 “Call upon Me… and I will deliver you

Psalm 86:7 “In the day of trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer.”

Joel 2:32 “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be delivered.”

Acts 2:21 “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 10:13 “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

The Pattern Is Consistent
Whether it’s: ask, call, come, receive, drink, believe.

It’s always the same salvation pattern: Ask > Receive, Call > Saved, Come > Life, Believe > Eternal life.

It's hard to fight against JESUS and HIS word making up stories because you will not follow HIS word.

1 Jesus said, Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

John 13:34–35 Jesus said, A new commandment: love one another as Christ loved us.

James 4:11–12 Don’t judge in the sense of usurping God’s role as Lawgiver and Judge.

Romans 14:4 Don’t judge others in matters of conscience where God has granted liberty.

You are picking verse out and taking them out of context, we could go through each one if you like.

Lets look at the firs one, John 4:10 When JESUS was refering to the living water he was refering to the HOLY GHOST.

How does that prove your are saved??

Lets look at the second one, Acts 2:21.

WHAT HAPPEN IF YOU READ THE WHOLD STORY????

DO YOU KNOW WHERE LIARS AND DECEIVES GO????

Insults, sad but it is what it is.

By your own mouth, you have not be baptized in JESUS name and JESUS has not filled you with HIS spirit and I'm the problem, got it.

Had to find a word to replay "fool"?

You do know JESUS reads our hearts right?

You do know HIS word does not controdict it's self right?

So what do we believe?

Just call JESUS and I'm saved?

How can that happen if JESUS DOES NOT EVEN HEAR US CALLING???

John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

So HOW CAN YOU CALL UPON HIM AND BE SAVED, IF HE DON'T HEAR YOU????

Acts 2:38-39
King James Version
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

When we CALL upon the name of the Lord is after we REPENT and OBEY and get BAPTIZED in JESUS wonderful name.

IF YOU HAVE NOT, YOU HAVE NEVER GOTTEN RID OF YOUR SINS AND ARE HELL BOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not to late, JESUS loves you the same as HE loves us all,

Your choice.

Thank you, I'm just here trying to share HIS word on how to be reborn.

I'm not judging anyone at all, just sharing HIS word.

The statement I sent to another person, look at it.

Why would you even suggest it's judging?

You also make up a lot of stories becaue you also are not following HIS word!

Is that judging or a FACT???

How do I know it's a FACT?

Simple I asked you and you your self told me your not.

But maybe I'm wrong, If so I will make it right.

Have YOU been baptized in JESUS name to remove your sins?

Has JESUS filled you with HIS spirit like HE did HIS diciples in Acts 2:4?

After we repent we need BOTH to be reborn!!

This is also not judging, if you haven't been baptized in JESUS name your going down the wrong road.

Is that statement judging or out of LOVE?
