You do not take God's Word literally, that much is obvious. You are taking a metaphor and pretending it is true. You are wrong, sinfully so. Repent or...well, you should know that much at least.
P.S. I don't like hugs from people who refuse the truth, and there should be no disagreements in the Lord.

God already blesses me, I don't need you to say it for it to be real. You are pretending to be holy, but you are just like the actors of Christ's time...a whitened sepulcher...beautiful on the outside but dead inside.

Hmmph. You should open with that instead of claiming that God is light and is growing, or whatever new age similitudes you were stating.
If you are truly of God, you should listen to those that are of God, as their words should ring true to you.

Yes, you did. God being light is a metaphor, as should be clear from the reading of the text. The Bible opens with the creation of the universe, by God's spoken Words light sprang forth. Reminds me of people who claim 'God is love' because a verse in the Bible says so...sure, God is love, but He is also just, merciful, vengeful, holy, and many other things. Accuracy matters for science so we can make silly gadgets, how much more important is accuracy concerning matters of the soul?
Great post... When science has caught up with the Word of G-d has it ever proven the Scriptures wrong.... Now there are many things, like the red sea, pillar of salt, … that since has not been able to prove (yet) or disprove... So which is accurate science or G-d's Word?
I see your point G-d is love but the Scripture tells us 7 things He hates... Can G-d be 2 thins at once... like Messiah and still G-d on the throne? Can He be light and the creator of the light you and I see?
Actually, the Bible contains in it advanced scientific notions. Of course, Christendom was seriously led astray in the 1800's and now science is essentially atheistic, and consequently off the rails.
It would take you leaving your bias at the door and reading what the Bible actually says concerning scientific topics, of course...

Do you think God would allow Himself to be used for pornography, murder, etc (think tv)? I doubt it, so...God is not light, in the literal sense. God is light in the figurative sense, in that He is that which reveals.
If you are asking me to leave my bias, that the Word of G-d is the infallible, inerrant Word of G-d at the door... I cannot do that because my world view, past, present, and future, is only through the leans of 66 Books...
