I like the ebonics translation for it is cool.
But I am kidding.
And this has nothing to do with cutting down anyone.
But there is no need for it for people in America grow up learning English in the school system.
And people speaking English around them.
So it is not like they cannot understand the English speaking Bible.
But a person might say but we do not understand that as much like people will say about the KJV.
But they have the newer translations and they know English.
And the words they change does not really mean anything as relating to anything.
Yo listen, dis, crib , etc but I think we get the meaning from the original.
And the fact they wrote the ebonics version testifies they know what those words mean to use a substitute.
So what is the purpose of it other than wanting to separate yourselves and think you are cool.
It does not seem right but if they are using God's word I will not say anything against it.
What is next the 1960's version with groovy, far out, funky, etc.
Or the mafia version, bada boom bada bing, fuhgeddaboudit, thou shalt not whack, etc.
I like the KJV.
You know the Bible they used when they were more strict in morals.
But it is the Bible I started out with so I stayed with it.
