The Lord isn't depicted as a dragon. This is simply His expression of judgement.

You sound like me in that you put a lot of thinking about many possibilities and ideas. I often try to think of whether a idea can be thought of in the extreme. A natural phenomena like temperature is an interesting example. Seems that at extreme cold there is a finite temperature but going in the hot direction is there an end and even if there is it seems to be a 'number' much greater than going cold. What that means is a puzzle to me. So with people living in extreme cold climates why did they find 'refuge' in those areas and how did they end up there. But also the universe and beyond. Multiverses some say. Bible does not address these matters and must agree to pure speculation.
You know I take with a grain of salt those that say they saw heaven yet also will believe some. One said he stopped telling people about the animals he saw in heaven since he really got attack speaking only what he saw. So from that point on he never ever talks about it. Man just can't handle it. Satan cannot create. There does seem to be some truth in every lie so to speak. We know there were things living here that are not any more so...who knows. Just try talking about how the animals before the fall could talk and watch what happens lol
This reminds me of a story, a true story. There is an island near the North Pole, a small uninhabited island, where butterflies live. The island is warm. This story began when people explored sea routes. At that time, some people believed that there was a warm route in the Arctic.

Warm ocean currents. These may possibly mapped by satellite now but I don't know that definitely. But now the melting glaciers are also creating a lot of change in the oceans and CO 2 is also being absorbed by ocean water.
This is one of the living "dinosaurs" that I alluded to in my first post. If their bones were fossilized and they were extinct, they would be lumped together in one of the subcategories of dinosaurs. The same goes with some of the great crocodilians which can reach up to approximately 20 feet long and occasionally get hold of fishermen and those washing laundry in the rivers.
After reading further, I realized that the OP lacks interest in the subject. Perhaps she cares to clarify further . Some spent some time guessing what she meant from the Job description of the fire breathing reptile. Others guessed that she meant some fictitious dragon-god heresy. Im not saying they believe it, but rather explained it.
We are three pages into your thread and I can't find the verses that you are referring to.. Unless I missed it, I only see "Journals.Sage Pub.org". That only narrows your citation down to a library .

The Masoretic which Rabbi Akiva tampered with definitely has errors introduced. These errors are ironed out by the NT and the Alexandrian Septuagint. Even the Alex-Septuagint has errors.....but again, it is valuable and we know where those errors are (Ex 12:40 for example). Altogether what we have today is quite superb and trustworthy.
Exodus 12:40 KJV
"Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years."
The Septuagint version adds, "and in the land of Canaan"; and the Samaritan version is,
``the sojourning of the children of Israel, and of their fathers, in the land of Canaan, and in the land of Egypt.''
Agreeably to which are both the Talmuds: in one F15 of them the words are,
``in Egypt and in all lands,''
and in the other F16,
``in Egypt, and in the rest of the lands;''
How could an English translation be the leading English language Bible for over 400 years if it was not indeed excellent and above reproach?
Further minor improvements could be made, but that will not be feasible under present circumstances. The King James 2000 Bible has brought the language up-to-date. However the NJKV is not to be trusted at all.
