The Lord Jesus Christ revealed the failure on the part of the scribes and pharisees. Jesus was not saying that "faith/believing" is "law talk" as you insist.
Salvation is the gift given by God through His grace and mercy ... given to those who believe.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Eph 2:9 corroborates what we read in Rom 4 (i.e. that faith is not works).

One has either the Gift of Faith through Grace, which is not required but given by grace, or they have their natural faith, a natural moral quality, which is requited by the Law of God. So if you want required faith, you better keep the whole law of God perfectly if you want to inherit eternal life. Good luck

You have made Faith a requirement for salvation, instead of acknowledging it as a Gift of Grace in Salvation, hence you put yourself under law.. For Faith is a law requirement Matt 23:23
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and
have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy
, and faith: these
ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
