2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish ; because they received not the love of the truth , that they might be saved . 2:11 And for this cause GOD shall send them strong delusion , that they should believe a lie :
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth , but had pleasure in unrighteousness .
I believe that God telling us here if we don.t love HIS WORD enough to obey it , He will let us be deceived because of the sins that we are holding on to . And don't love HIS WORD enough to obey it .
2:9 Whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs lying wonders. So HE will let Satan deceive us if we holding on to sin .

The wilfully blind Pharisees were then judicially blinded by God. And after the nation of Israel rejected Christ, the unbelieving too suffered the same fate. When Christians -- or those who profess to be Christians -- are wilfully blind, they too suffer the same fate.Does God Keep people from understanding the Bible.
The only big mystery is God's grace itself. It's kind of hard to fathom such a free gift.
As far a scripture goes there is no secret knowledge, it says what it says. I know some say there is secret codes and such in the scriptures. Maybe there is, but if there is they only confirm what is plainly written. Not anything different or contrary for sure. Gnostics and mystics seeking out special hidden codes that provide different secret knowledge are heretics, engaged in idolatry. The true of God's word is plainly written for all to see if they simply read it.
It is our flesh and sin nature that keeps us from reading his word. It is also sin a flesh that causes a man to try to disassemble the word and discover some underlying mystery secret that God has hidden from us.
And those things are revealed to us in scripture.Deuteronomy 29:29 King James Version (KJV)
29 The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever,
God revealed things to Paul that were not revealed to Jewish believer in Christ
And those things are revealed to us in scripture.

Studying and growing and learning is different than searching for secret hidden information.Not exactly, there are many things that each of us discover as we grow in discernment. We never stop learning, it's a mystery.
The Jews were confuse with the Gospel taught by Paul is a perfect example. And still may people confuse, they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures.
2nd Peter3:
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Golly gee, there is something upon which we agree.What a God it would be that would first inspire the Bible and then create a block that insures only His select few can understand it. Hearkens back to the Calvinist, TULIP formula. God predestined people to be saved, and die damned.
