The greatest example in the Word bginning at Genesis and stopping at the final amen of Revelation is that famous veil of Moses.

People did not and yet do not understand the law and the prophets tue to this veil over their eyes. Whether this fits the cdategory you have in mind of a proper response or no, I cannot say.

No

people keep people from misunderstanding the Bible, God blinds them by continually showing them truth so seeing they may not see and hearing they may not hear, but romans 1 makes it clear, no one has an excuse.

the lost are spiritually darkened so they can not understand Gods word, because it is foolishness to them . but that’s not on God,

If yes give an example from Scripture.
If God knows they are rejecting His will they are not given full understanding of His scriptures.. Jesus established this when He revealed to His Apostles..

Mark 4: KJV
11 "And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: {12} That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them."

Those who have no love for the truth but have joy in unrighteousness are not given wisdom but are given over to delusion so that they will be deceived..

2 Thessalonians 2: KJV
8 "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: {9} Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, {10} And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. {11} And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: {12} That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

So those who are rejecting the Will of God but have pleasure in evil are not given deeper understanding of scripture but they are given over to deception delusions..

2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish ; because they received not the love of the truth , that they might be saved . 2:11 And for this cause GOD shall send them strong delusion , that they should believe a lie :
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth , but had pleasure in unrighteousness .
I believe that God telling us here if we don.t love HIS WORD enough to obey it , He will let us be deceived because of the sins that we are holding on to . And don't love HIS WORD enough to obey it .
2:9 Whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs lying wonders. So HE will let Satan deceive us if we holding on to sin .

1 Corinthians 2:11 - For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

2 Corinthians 4:3 - But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

1 Corinthians 3 concerning Israel
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

GOD IS a SPIRIT and those who worship GOD MUST worship HIM In Spirit and In TRUTH.

A person trying To relate to GOD by their carnal senses(see, hear, taste, touch of feel) will not understand spiritual things ,If they could then they would be able to receive from GOD using their physical senses and the Only way a person can come to GOD IS In TRUTH.
That means believing without depending on physically seeing.

Mark 1:9-14
King James Version

9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

10 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.

11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

14 The sower soweth the word.

The only people that will read the bible to try to understand it, are the regenerated children of God, who have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The natural man thinks the things of the Spirit are foolishness, and could not discern it if he tried. But, yes, the Holy Spirit, within them, will not reveal the full meaning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, until they deny themselves (lean not upon their own understanding) Matt 16:24.

I learned this lesson the hard way, due to my pride, and being stubborn. Scriptures, "seemed" to contradict each other to me, and I thought that I was smart enough to figure it out, if I bought a Strong's concordance, and studied hard enough. I tried for 12 years to understand, without any results. When I finally admitted that I was not smart enough, and would have to be content to not understand, it was not too long after, that the Holy Spirit within me, began to reveal a little here, and a little there.

If the Holy Spirit had revealed anything to me, with the mindset that I had those 12 years, I would have taken credit for my entilect, and not given God credit. I believe this fact is why God keeps most of his children from understanding the full knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The only big mystery is God's grace itself. It's kind of hard to fathom such a free gift.
As far a scripture goes there is no secret knowledge, it says what it says. I know some say there is secret codes and such in the scriptures. Maybe there is, but if there is they only confirm what is plainly written. Not anything different or contrary for sure. Gnostics and mystics seeking out special hidden codes that provide different secret knowledge are heretics, engaged in idolatry. The true of God's word is plainly written for all to see if they simply read it.
It is our flesh and sin nature that keeps us from reading his word. It is also sin a flesh that causes a man to try to disassemble the word and discover some underlying mystery secret that God has hidden from us.

The wilfully blind Pharisees were then judicially blinded by God. And after the nation of Israel rejected Christ, the unbelieving too suffered the same fate. When Christians -- or those who profess to be Christians -- are wilfully blind, they too suffer the same fate.

What a God it would be that would first inspire the Bible and then create a block that insures only His select few can understand it. Hearkens back to the Calvinist, TULIP formula. God predestined people to be saved, and die damned.

Not exactly, there are many things that each of us discover as we grow in discernment. We never stop learning, it's a mystery.

The Jews were confuse with the Gospel taught by Paul is a perfect example. And still may people confuse, they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures.

2nd Peter3:
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Studying and growing and learning is different than searching for secret hidden information.

yes, God hides understanding from some, and that is good
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said,
I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes! Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight."

Golly gee, there is something upon which we agree.
Imagine the irony there. God is going to have a book written that is all about the Son that is him, coming to suffer horrifically and lay down his life for the purpose of salvation, but this is only for a select few, the rest of y'all can go kick sand and die of monkeypox for all I care, because y'all ain't nothing but fire kindling.
Because; God so loved a handful of people that he gave his only begotten son so that those few shall have eternal life.
Isn't that a right sharp jab to the gums with a screwdriver.
