Hmm... I looked it up and you are right. Bible forbids marrying your father/mother, aunts/uncles, but doesn't say a word about first cousins.No. Even thou I do think it is too close, and there are risks of genetic problems, the Bible does not forbid marriage between cousins. It is the closest family relationship that Scripture permits within the marriage laws given.
Numbers 36:11:
“Mahlah, Tirzah, Hoglah, Milcah and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, married their uncles’ sons.”
These women married their cousins in order to keep their inheritance within their tribe and family line. The text presents this as lawful and appropriate, not as a violation of God’s commands.
