As a maga I was wondering this myself. The answer, I think, is because the founder's warning against the spirit of party has some legitimacy to it. The parties just become money moving machines for politicians. How much money was spent on the 2024 election campaigns? Does the quality of debate and discussion over the campaign season reflect anywhere near the amount of money spent? I think the answer is no. I don't think party politics gets us very far. I'd rather discuss problems and solutions than red man vs. blue man. So, instead of forming another government money moving/argument machine that turns into it's own wild beast; we need to put our own yoke on the beasts we already have to make them work for American households.
