Thank you! I was late getting around to designing my yearly Christmas card
but was able to do it while at work today because it is not very busy...

:D
It’s literally already saved in my magenta file haha

that one will be going out to the prayer groups and church folk I know.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The original Christmas Gift ?

Re "This thread is about favorite Christmas verses in the Bible . Do you have a favorite verse that relates to the birth of Christ?": I had verses in mind when I posted this, but now I will include them.

My most recent favorite song is "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" by Casting Crowns:

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play
And mild and sweet their songs repeat
Of peace on Earth, good will to men.
"Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests." (LK 2:14)

And the bells are ringing (peace on Earth)
Like a choir they're singing (peace on Earth)
In my heart I hear them (peace on Earth)
Peace on Earth, good will to men.
"Let the peace of God rule in your hearts... the peace which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts." (CL 3:15, PHP 4:7)

And in despair I bowed my head
"There is no peace on Earth, " I said
For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on Earth, good will to men.
"They knelt and mocked him with 'Hail, king of the Jews!' (MT 27:29)
The elders mocked him, "He trusts in God, let God rescue him... for he said 'I am the Son of God'." (MT 27:43)

But the bells are ringing (peace on Earth)
Like a choir singing (peace on Earth)
Does anybody hear them? (Peace on Earth)
Peace on Earth, good will to men.
"Though hearing , they do not hear or understand." (MT 13:13)

Then rang the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead, nor doth He sleep
(Peace on Earth)
"He who watches over you will not sleep." (PS 121:3)

(Peace on Earth)
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on Earth, good will to men.
"God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows...
at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (GL 6:7&9)

Then ringing, singing on its way
The world revolved from night to day
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime
Of peace on Earth, good will to men."
"Christ himself is our peace... creating in himself one new humanity...
He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near." (EPH 2:14-15&17)

And the bells, they're ringing (peace on Earth)
Like a choir they're singing (peace on Earth)
And with our hearts, we'll hear them (peace on Earth)
Peace on Earth, good will to men
"Sing to one another with songs from the Spirit.
Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord." (EPH 5:19)

Do you hear the bells, they're ringing? (Peace on Earth)
The light, the angels singing (peace on Earth)
Open up your heart and hear them (peace on Earth)
Peace on Earth, good will to men.
"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,
Who was, and is, and is to come." (RV 4:8)

Peace on Earth
Peace on Earth
Peace on Earth, good will to men.
"I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Today a Savior has been born to you, the Messiah, the Lord." (LK 2:10)

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his
name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Isaiah 9:6-7a Unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.

Joshua 5
13 Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”

14 “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord[e] have for his servant?”

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.” John‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

John 1:14 + 17 The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

I hate to be that guy but there are no verses about the catholic/roman Saturnalia/ChristMASS (resacrificing Christ once again) in the Bible.

You say you want to celebrate the birth of Jesus (which definitely wasnt in December), its not commanded but its also not forbidden, yet you choose the one day out of the year that is winter solstice time and peak of witchcraft paganism and catholic mass madness? Sounds like people just like ChristMASS and are coping and explaining to the best of their ability to keep celebrating it.
