So shall I keep Thy Torah/law continually for ever and ever.

does that mean like all the time endlessly?
 
pretty strong words from Someone some say is a sinner. If He broke His oath (which He didn't) that would have made Him a sinner.

Psalm 119:106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep Thy righteous judgments/mispat.
 
a snare as in false accusations to condemn Him to death as a blasphemer? yet He still erred not when facing death that completed His obedience to the law. He did die a sinners death though.

110 The wicked have laid a snare for Me: yet I erred not from Thy precepts.
 
another strong claim. even unto the end as in death on a cross while bearing the sins of others maybe?

112 I have inclined Mine heart to perform Thy statutes alway, even unto the end.
 
kinda sounds like some familiar Gospel verse. naaaa

115 Depart from Me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of My Elohim.
 
DONE Thy commandments as in giving His life on the cross to save us? He would have needed salvation from the death He suffered for us at that point.

166 YHVH, I have hoped for Thy salvation, and done Thy commandments.
 
He is on a roll now claiming to have kept His Father's testimonies too. must be post death.

167 My soul hath kept Thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.
 
upping the ante now claiming to have kept both His Father's precepts and testimonies and saying the Father knows all His ways. does that sound like a confession? again it is post death at this point so He has completed His obedience to that point.

168. I have kept Thy precepts and Thy testimonies: for all My ways are before Thee.
 
verse 67 and verse 176 and incorrect translation have been addressed multiple times which you continue to ignore. go back and read the old posts and threads if you really want those answers. if you already read those explanations and reject them then please stop asking.

saying He kept and loves His Father's testimonies post-death after all He suffered, while trusting His Father to raise Him, according to the promise, is really saying something. No wonder the Father loves Him so much.
 
sorry about that. ooops, foiled again. add inappropriate to the list of faults. it is somewhat more tolerable than other faults.

The psalmist explicitly confesses sin in vv. 76 & 176
The psalmist asks for mercy, redemption and salvation throughout the psalm.

These things are not things Christ prays.
Just because in other parts of the psalm, the writer expresses righteousness, does not make these things go away.

Show me. I don't have time to wade through 250 pages of this thread and find whatever other threads you might be alluding to, but if you know so well, do tell? Should take you all of 3 minutes but you're asking me to go on a wild goose chase for a week. Is it not sin if you are able to do good but refuse to?



For example verse 67:

I see no possibile argument that this is a mistranslation. I found no textual variation and every English translation reads the same.

It is clearly incorrect to attribute this statement to Christ.
 
Psalms 119:26
I have declared my ways,
and Thou heardest me:
teach me Thy statutes.

"teach me" - - the writer lacks knowledge, wisdom and understanding, pleading that it be added to him.
This is not true of Christ.

"I have declared my ways" - - the writer is expressing confession of sin.
This is not true of Christ.

Together this verse is expressing repentance, turning away from their sin, seeking redemption from God.

Compare:

Psalms 32:5-9
I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid.
I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD;
and Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.
Selah.
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found:
surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
Thou art my hiding place;
Thou shalt preserve me from trouble;
Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.
Selah.
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with Mine eye.
Be ye not as the horse, as the mule, which have no understanding:
whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
