Thanks, now I just need $4,000 to repair the damage my dads landlord caused to the side of the vehicle.
She got high on weed, took it without permission after the insurance lapsed and hit something causing a big dent, we saw the yellow paint and think she hit a light pole in a parking lot.
Thanks I appreciate it. yeah, I am getting unpacked from my move and getting set up to finish my tourism course this year.

Hopefully it still drives. If so, at least it drives even if damaged!

I donated my father's vehicles recently. One was a standard truck. It needed minor work. I don't know how to work on a standard, or I would have kept that one.

LoL...I'm not at all from England as far as I know. But, I love that word!

It does, a friend has helped with the financing to get the paper work in order, and the insurance, and the safety...
I understand Standard, I had to attempt it driving a road grader in my heavy Equipment Course, like everything else it comes with practice and also on Stevens tractors when I was watching his farm for him years ago.

I can change tires and fill fluids and that is the extent of my abilities to work on a vehicle.

lol ok,.

Well several reasons, First She is hooked on weed, and I am talking full pledged addict.
Second, She thinks that the higher she gets the better she drives
Third, she has not paid any bills in over a year
Fourth when we helped her sell her house to pay the bills ($250,000 in personal debt) she didn't give us a dime (me and my dad).
Fifth, she is Selfish and only thinks of herself
Sixth, I don't have the money to take her to court and sue and also I may not win because it was my dads car and the damage was done when he owned it.

I can't afford to fix it, my income is only 10K a year on social assistance. $4000 is 4 full months income. Plus insurance will not pay for it because the policy had lapsed when she did it.

I would help my dad work on his vehicles a lot from childhood to adult years, mostly handing him tools, fetching things, holding things, and being yelled at ('cause that's what dad's do when they work on vehicles lol). Also, I'd help him hoist engines and transmissions out of trucks. 70's Chevy trucks were my favorite to help him with...I wish I had all his knowledge about vehicle repair. He didn't care for newer vehicles. He'd complain about all the wiring. In light of that, here's some humor for the thread...

At first I thought that was a big wad of moss...

Where did they even GET that many wires and bunch them up like that to take the picture? That's impressive dedication to the bit.

Just imagine for a moment that everyone on the planet has a big Wayne Cochran pompadour. That should cheer you up lol

I see, lol, I used to rent from a room from a mechanic, he felt the same way about newer cars.
I am glad you have those memories with your dad, my dad never did anything with me like that.

I'm glad I have those memories too. Even though dad yelled a lot, I miss him like crazy.
He'd say something like, "Girl, it'll only take us 30 minutes. 2 hours at the most." We'd be working on something into the night lol.
